Hellickson VS Volquez. Both pitchers have struggled lately. This is a battle for the basement.
A win today would tie them for last place. Sounds exiting doesn't it? just kidding!

Instead of starting another thread, here is an update. Kingery hit his 16th homerun today! Amazing when you consider he is a lead off man. Nava is 2 for 2 in rehab start. We will have a full outfield soon.

It's nice to cherish your reward all alone. For the Phillies, they celebrate the basement by themselves.

Sadly Yesterday marks the 7 year Anniversary of Roy Halladay pitching a perfect game... how far we have fallen.

Rubin screwed us so bad.

Wait a minute! Was it really his fault? The Phillies only allowed him to spend $185 million. Another 50 million
could have helped!

One of the announcers had a stat about the Phillies last homestand that was something like The pitchers they faced had a combined ERA of over 6 coming into the series. For the entire series against the Phillies the ERA was around 2.00. They made everyone look like Cy Young.

Pft 50 million try 200 million!

After 2012 it was clearly evident that they had to re-stock the farm system and that the window was shut.

This wonderful squad we are so blessed to see on the field this year is mostly a result of Rubin and his wonderful farm system.

They have a few good ones coming up through the system but the lack of discipline that most of the Phillies top prospects seem to have throughout the system is shocking. Jorge Alfaro is putting up good stats at AAA but he has 3 walks in 156 ABs. There is no way a guy like that can be a good major league hitter for any amount of time unless he changes something. Same with Nick Williams. Hoskins looks ready right now. I guess it's tough to bring him up because Joseph has been hitting lately but eventually they just have to make a decision. Unfortunately there is only one spot for a first baseman in the NL. Joseph has shown really good power at the major league level but unless he or Hoskins can play left field they may need to move one of them to an AL team.

No need to rush Hoskins. But Joseph needs to put up good numbers the rest of the season. Nick Williams
must be listening to the coaches now. Part of his problem is in his attitude. Meanwhile
Meanwhile Kingery continues to impress.

Yeah, Kingery is putting up some crazy numbers in Reading. We'll see about Williams. He is hot right now.

That's right, the 25 year old phenom from Orlando. He's already been up for 3 years. It's great getting MLB experience in your early 20s instead of working in the minors until you're 25.

Behind 3-0 in the 3rd, and Nola has two on, whoops, 4-0, Ozuna drives in another. The same old Dildoes. We won't get much off Cy Straily today.
