I just wanted to make sure that everyone was still here and didnt run off to another board.
I cant wait until the ED coming up. I think there is going to be a lot of movement.

The team has been a huge disappointment three years running in ways we never would have predicted. While we didn't expect two Cups every three years, we certainly expected them to stay competitive and maybe pick up one more Cup a la Chicago Blackhosers. But also the idiotic character issues (Richards, Stoll and the real killer Voynov), a Captain (Brown) who loses his game and doesn't seem to back up or inspire his teammates, a GM who could do no wrong then couldn't do anything that worked, an all-world center who gets all-world money and the captaincy then proceeds to lose his greatness for a season (hopefully only a season), the goaltender who is the spirit and guts of the team goes down almost a whole year, plus the real killer--for at least a season and a half the Kings became unbelievably boring and no fun to watch.

Hopefully new coaching and management brings a new energy and personnel, and returns greatness and enjoyment back to being a fan of this team. If so, this board will come alive again. I guess I just realized the board has reflected the team--listless and boring. It's nothing winning can't fix.

I felt Bernier did well as a back-up to Quick for those years. And though Toronto was obviously going to be a tough spot to play, especially with a horrible team at the time he was traded, I thought he would've had more success.

While I do feel a little bad for him (as much as I can for a professional NHLer who gets paid $$$), I am glad Dean didn't rush to turn-over the crease to him back when the Kings were searching for goaltenders. Could have easily happened that way as Bernier was Deano's draft pick and Quick was Taylor's pick.

Somebody used to give me so much shit for backing Quick over Bernier. This is obviously awhile ago, but there was an argument being made that since Bernier was a Top 5 pick and younger, the Kings should keep him instead of Quick.

I can't believe how well Ottawa has done this year. Definitely surprised me. I, however, do not see them winning tomorrow.

got me man, anderson stole last game, the last 3 games the pens look like the far superior team but here we are at game 7........truly anyone can win, and lord only knows i wont be shocked either way.........two vastly different styles of play, head to head, 1 game...... :scratch:

That's fair. The more hockey I watch, the shorter games seem to be, and you can feel how big one goal can be. I felt like the Pens were massive underdogs in 2009 Game 7 at Detroit, but they pulled that out by keeping it close/getting timely goals.

Andersen has always been pretty underated, but he has Jonathan Quick Syndrome when he comes out to play the puck. You guys should temp him some heavy dump and chase.

if you watched last game there was an abundant amount of dump and chase, pens are all over them, they just keep winning
