The F-1 teams are in Monaco this Memorial day week-end as the fight continues between Ferrari and Mercedes and the Red Bull team has been making in-roads into the fight. Should be interesting to see if Lewis Hamilton takes tow-in-a-row as he usually does well at Monaco.

That answer is a no, Hamilton would need one amazing break to win from P13 tomorrow

How about Raikkonen on the pole?

Big stunner there

Raikkonen
Vettel
Riccardo
Perez - there's always a top 4 spot that goes to someone random here

I'll go with Vettel, Raikkonen, Bottas, and Verstappen.

Vettel takes the win followed by Raikkonen for a one-two Ferrari finish. Ricciardo made the podium in third and Bottas finished fourth with Hamilton a distant 7th. Perhaps Ferrari has turned a decisive corner. We shall see.

I thought about taking Vettel over Raikkonen, should have done that

nailed the Ricciardo pick, had a swing and a miss picking Perez to finish 4th as he had an awful race

Hamilton starting near the back of the pack was not as exciting as expected, very different to see him patient throughout the race and waited to use pit strategy to make his move.

How about both Haas cars grabbing points today? Murica!! :usa2::usa2:

Vettel now leads Hamilton by 25 championship points. Hamilton is savvy enough to make a big comeback but perhaps the Ferraris have caught and are now passing the Mercs. On we go to Canada.

I agree BoiseStateFan. Haas is slowly picking away at this largely Euro-style racing and it is just a matter of time before we start considering Haas for the podium! Murica!!!

It's been an intriguing back and forth battle so far

Hamilton is going to have to string together some wins to come back, so far Vettel's worst finish this year is just 2nd, while Hamilton now has two finishes off the podium, one of which is a lowly 7th

Monaco definitely didn't suit the Mercedes well at all this year, that's definitely a concern for them later this year in Singapore. I do think they will fire back in Canada as that track should suit them better

Yea, their rear suspension set-up just did not work with the soft and super-soft tires and Hamilton almost lost the rear of the car during several practices and in Qualifying. Bottas was a bit better, but his car had nearly the same problem. This could be a systemic error going on with the Mercs.

Even though they're only fighting for points they have been my primary rooting interest ever since Webber retired. It will be tough for them to become the top team as a customer car, I'd like to see an American engine supplier hop in at some point for Haas, Ford was in F1 at one point it would be cool to see them again.

Unfortunately Honda's struggles will make any new potential suppliers hesitant to join. None will want to join unless they're given several years notice on the rules to prepare in advance

Yes both the Mercedes drivers didn't have much confidence in the handling, Hamilton perhaps pushed it too hard and made the error in qualifying that he couldn't recover from. I was surprised at how Mercedes missed on Bottas' strategy there, they were too worried about Verstappen and I guess didn't realize Sainz would get in the way

I'd like to see Fiat/Chrysler get involved in F-1. The wish is a fantasy because Manchione is an idiot but the closest we will get to an American engine supplier lies with Ford and that is iffy. My guess is, if Haas gets prominent in F-1, Ford my be enticed to show-up with engines eventually.

If they could rip one race from the F1 Calendar I'd want it to be Monaco.

Beyond boring.

On a day with 1300 miles of motor racing, it is at the bottom of the pile.
