Sam Travis being called up by the Sox. That giant mongoloid on the Yankees better watch out in the ROY race.

For the first time in exactly 1 month, the Red Sox win and the Yankees/Orioles both lose.

Orioles correction has arrived.....No chance they could survive with that starting staff.......Than you have guys like Trumbo who helped carry them last season, being completely invisible this season

Yanks starting staff has its questions, but not nearly on the level of the O's

Montgomery earned himself at least 2 more starts after his outing last night.

The end of Chase Headley is coming soon. Thank the lawd

Castro to 3rd, Gleyber to 2nd, and Headley to First in a platoon with Bird

Thats what is being speculated, they think Castro is more suited for 3rd and they want Gleyber playing his most comfortable position

Are the Yankees going to make Chase Headley available? Might be an improvement over the crap the Sox are running out there.

Im sure theyd drive him to Boston

Heard an interview with Gammons yesterday, spoke about their 3rd base problem

Also spoke about how close Big Papi was to being released in early May of either 2009 or 2010, they really thought he was done

Really interesting interview

Ortiz had about 3 years in a row (2008-2010) where he started ridiculously slow. Like sub-.650 OPS slow.

Yeah - I have heard the stories about May 2009 where he was going off on the press when they asked him what his deal was.

Sox 3b situation is dismal:

Panda - fat, injured, and not good when he does play. This may be Cherington's biggest mistake and that includes getting Alan Craig and Joe Kelly for Lackey.
Brock Holt - guy's career is probably over (at least his chance of ever being an every day player). Mystery vertigo symptoms that have been going on for a few years doesn't bode well.
Deven Merrero - can't hit.

Time to say screw it and call up Devers (skipping AAA).

His OPS is 100 points higher than the Red Sox at 3rd base this year. I'll take him.
