I don't think he really thinks he'll ever play.
I think it's more about going out on his own terms.

He has to know that NBA doctors won't clear him.
I highly doubt he'll put himself in that position.

A absolutely tragic day in NBA history tonight - it was clear from the jump these refs and the league were determined to allow Queen James and the Cavs to live and die another day(hopefully monday night) they called every thing against the Cavs and nothing in favor of GS - And, yes, Warriors players did things to earn technicals and such and they were called - Queen James and Co did the same but they weren't called for anything.

This game was clearly fixed. Its too bad it won't be a sweep but at least the warriors get to close it out with their fans

So, it seems Waiters is willing to give the Heat a hometown discount. I am not surprised by this given that he has expressed his love for the organization from the beginning. On the other hand, James Johnson doesn't seem as willing to do the same - He is a quality player and person - although I personally think he was a tad over-used as the Heat usually do with a player or two every season IMO -- so, it would be nice to have him back but if his demands become unreasonable to Heat standards/asking price, then we can just let him go.

The Heat have usually valued cap space over draft picks. Thats usually the approach when you are in a win-now mode as the Heat usually are under Riley. But in the very near future the mindset will probably have to change.

Over the past few days it has become more difficult to try and guess who the Heat would draft, should they decide to keep the pick , or even if they decide to move either up or down in spots -- So, as of now, my only wish for the Heat is for them to select someone who is currently injured or nursing some sort of injury that will hinder them from contributing in the early days of the coming regular season.

Injuries will happen of course. But I rather we select someone fully healthy from the moment we select them.

We are moments away from start of draft - lets see what happens.
