Rahm?
Kuch?
Donald?
Fowler?
Thomas Pieters?

Would like to have seen Westwood get one, but it might not happen at this point. Never know.

Rahm...if he's hanging around on Sunday already, I can see him bagging one...but that was the Masters. You can hit in some bad places and still have a decent par putt....have to watch him at the British....eerr The Open.

I'm gonna say Fowler. Hits it long enough and straight enough...playing well right now, just needs to close the deal.

I pretty much agree with your take here.
Fowler has the right combo of experience and game. Rahm is dangerous. No real scar tissue, yet.

Yep.

A guy I'm waiting to see break out, actually two. Brooks Koepka, and Tony Finau...both have near DJ length and the rest of the game to win a major...young and maybe not mentally ready to win a major, but Brooks has some Ryder Cup experience so he's been on the big stage.

Hell, might as well throw my greatest disappointment in there.

Charles Howell III (Not to be confused with Thurston Howell III)

With runner up going to Patrick Reed.

I could see Reed getting one. Not a top 5 golfer in the world like he claimed once, but he has proven he can handle the big stage.

Hideki is a real top 5 golfer. Continues to fly under the radar. Had the horrible flubbed chip at the presidents cup.

To be the first Japanese player to win a major ...he would become a God in Japan.

I forgot about that. Ishikawa was supposed to be that guy.
Hideki would be worshiped for sure.

Hideki is a good choice.

Has all the tools...you wonder how long he can stay at this level...because now seems like he's peaking. I think we're seeing guys play well for a stretch (Rory, Spieth, Dustin, Stenson, Day, Scott) then they sort of cool off.

Both of my young guns sniffed around the lead last week but couldn't close...Finau really shot himself in the foot on 18...maybe not quite ready for a major, but they can be dangerous.

I see both your boys did great this week.
I would like to see Cauley stay healthy, to see him progress in some big tournaments.

I typically don't root for golfers...just like to see the guys I like play well. If there's a guy I'd like to see win a major, it's Kuch...GA Tech guy...probably will go on to shatter the tour money that Duval, Cink have made...they both have majors...his on course demeanor is very likeable.

I've met Cink a couple of times...really down to earth fella...guy lives in a gated private golf course community in Duluth with a beautiful range yet he was down at the nearby range I go to with his son hitting balls one day a station or two away from me.

I'm hearing this sound behind me, just pure contact shots, one after another, I finally look around...oh shit, Stewart Cink...I went over and talked to him...apparently their range was closed that day for maintenance and his son wanted to hit some so they came over. Hoping his wife pulls thru 100%...Kuch seems to have a similar personality.

Cink really got disrespected winning the Open.

The network wanted so bad for Tom Watson to win that they practically try to make Cink feel bad about winning it during the interview.

Very true...I think he did feel bad for Tom and thus never was able to fully embrace being a major champion until much later....can't say I know him at all, but just meeting the guy...hard not to like him.

Kind of like the Korean girl that won a major few week ago as a result of Lexi Thompson's rules snafu.
