TSU is a real good defensive team. Vic is due for a big game and if the can play D like they did against SFA this is definitely winnable.

Also, women's team taking on EWU tonight in the WBI. Went 1-2 against them this season. I've caught a few of their games this year and damn the ladies team likes to jack up 3's like they're going out of style. Live by 'em and die by 'em. Guess we'll see how it turns out tonight.

Men down 24-23 at half. Definitely got some foul troubles to worry about.

Down 52-42 with 8 minutes left. Tons of foul and TO issues. This one is pretty much over.

64-55 TSU final. Tried to get a comeback started but just couldn't do it.

Dug themselves a hole with the foul trouble, and just couldn't find the momentum. Around the 13min mark when Ingram made that 3 pointer to bring them within 1pt they basically flatlined...

Good news moving forward is that all five starters plus Callendret return next year. Trevon Allen just scored more points this season than any freshman had previously scored under Verlin. Should be a fun one next season.

Definitely a solid building year and lots to be excited about. But I have to wonder if there's any chance Sanders wants a change of scenery.

Haven't heard anything on that end so I doubt this ends up being a Sekou Wiggs situation.

Forgot Mason Woods was from Canada. Guess that's helping him a bit with his CFL pre-draft status considering CFL teams have to have a certain number of Canadian players.

NIU football: Huskies to play at Florida State in 2018 season | Daily Chronicle

NIU and Idaho reschedule 2018 game for 2023.

I'm sure Idaho lobbied pretty hard to get out of the game since they were going to have 3 road games against FBS teams in 2018. And since FCS only plays 11 games this would have meant 4 home games. Good move to reschedule the NIU game. 4 homes games in 2018 would have been awful.

Well, it's a good move if they can schedule a decent FCS opponent to come to Moscow. Would not surprise me to see Black Hills State, Western Montana, or Central Washington though. And if that's the solution I don't know how much better it would be than getting a butt kicking for chump change in Illinois.

This just in: Chuck Staben is a huge fucking piece of shit.

From one of Chuck's letters:

"We will ask the SBOE this week to lift this funding restriction for one year and allow us to use money from our own savings account to balance the athletics budget. This money does not come from academic reserves; it comes from central institutional reserves. But providing additional support alone is not enough. Changes need to be made inside the athletics program to ensure a strong future that is beneficial to our students, student-athletes, staff, faculty and our university.

Accordingly, every line item in the athletics budget is being reviewed. Many potential scenarios have been developed; all including a combination of cost-cutting measures ranging from sports that we sponsor, to scholarships, to administrative and other program costs. The right combination of changes has not been determined and creating a financial strategy is in the early stages. With this SBOE waiver, UI will have time to thoughtfully review each scenario and create an athletics program that complements our prestige and relevance as a leading research university."

Anybody with more brain cells than letters in their name knew sports were going to be cut due to the inevitable tank in revenue caused by the FCS move. Dumb Fuck Chuck guaranteed this wouldn't happen. Guess what? He lied. What a surprise.

Sort of stealing this from another board just because it drives the point home so well. Modified it a bit.

It appears Staben was not correct about the following:

1) Idaho would not have any AD donation loss due to the move down. They've admitted to a loss of approximately $350,000 so far and that number is probably closer to $1 million than $350k.

2) Idaho would not experience a reduction in the AD. Oops, looks like they'll be doing that.

3) Idaho would have a significant enrollment increase. Technically there is an increase in total students but if high school students taking dual credit courses are ignored then it was basically stagnant with total dollars coming in from tuition decreasing.

4) Idaho could not be competitive in FBS football. He pretty much said there was no way to compete. Oops. 9-4 season with a bowl win.

Eat my dick brah.

Well....there's this.

Sanders Declares

Seems like he's just testing the waters to gauge interest. If he doesn't hire an agent he can still return if he pulls out of the draft a week or so before it occurs.
