It's a step in the right direction to get a point in Colorado. That straight RC to Davis was an absolute travesty. That wasn't even worthy of a YC.

Spikes up and an obvious injury is a surefire red.

United, the Minnesota one, won't appeal the Davis red.

It was nice to be wrong about Kallman and Ramirez is playing at a level in terms of pace that's above his NASL self. I hope these suspensions and callups allow Viva to play.

That's more like it. We capitalized on a thin RSL defense, who had an early injury, and a rare mistake by Rimando to help secure our first win in front of the home fans. A lot of work still to be done though, especially on defense (yes, Captain Obvious there).

Those Gopher markings on the field are a complete fucking embarrassment. Pathetic it will be like that for 75% of the home games the next two years(...at least...with how much ass dragging they are doing with the new stadium ...). What an amateur looking shitshow.

On the bright side, this team is making soccer great again. You basically have to take the over in every single game...

From what I've heard, the markings will be removed from the pitch for nationally televised matches. I'm definitely looking forward to when they finally get their own stadium though. They would have been much further along if the :tape: legislature had their act together last year to give them the standard tax breaks they were looking for (along with the liquor license that was actually approved), giving them a headstart on building the stadium.

About 1/4 way into the season and both expansion teams are just below the red line for the playoffs. There's a lot of season left, but that should be encouraging for the league for both teams to be competitive.

Ramirez has so much passion for putting the ball in the net that he decided he'd put it in the net on both ends...in the same half.

The thing I wish the MLS did more of was getting away from this Europeification shit with all of the names of teams.

Everything is United now.
Everything is FC now.
Everything is SC now.
Real this, Real that.

Just name the fucking teams with names. Mascots. On that, I love the Portland Timbers colors/name/atmosphere. That entire brand is awesome.

Bring back the Wizards. Bring back the Metrostars or promote the Cosmos.

Oh well, I'll be at the artificially turfed football stadium for the United match on Sunday.

Minnesota United match, needed to clarify...

I tend to mostly agree, especially about the "United". Teams in England are named United for a reason, example, Manchester United started as workers form two different factories then when they decided to combine, they called themselves Manchester United instead of whatever the other two names were, similar with West Ham, Newcastle, etc. Funny thing is, all of those English "Uniteds" do have nicknames ManU are the Red Devils, West Ham the Irons , Newcastle are the Magpies.

SC is iffy, most European clubs that have that do more than one sport hence Sporting Club, so unless they are doing more than one sport, it's kind of stupid.

I do hate clubs here calling themselves REAL anything. Real (Madrid, Betis, Sociedad) means royal in that they at some point in the past were sanctioned by the King (or Queen) of Spain. Since we have no Monarch, also kind of stupid.

As for FC, I have no issue there as it stands for Football Club.

Atlanta travels up to Philly tonight.

Having lived in Germany and followed football my whole life, but only now getting a local team here and trying to follow the MLS, I can say that it's so hard to follow the MLS. Going to United matches are great, and the wife and I have Season Tickets, but the truth is O can't get interested in a match NOT involving Atlanta United.

I could watch a 2. Bundesliga match, so while I'll continue to try to watch the MLS, it's hard outside of Atlanta.
