I've noticed that since Giles came onto the floor (and I mean actually playing live game action) the actual play or Duke has gone downhill. Team chemistry was all sorts of messed up when he and the other Freshman stepped onto the court. It's like the hype of these players has gotten to every Duke Player and they flat out aren't playing.

I don't remember seeing a team so sloppy, inconsistent and give up so many lay-ups then this years team. Now I might be too harsh but this isn't like this is there first time playing, it just happens to be their first time playing together and it appears to be messing with them.

The season is far from over that's for sure but man if Duke keeps on playing like this they aint winning anything!

Duke Is In Real Trouble Without Coach K

As to what we know right now, things aren’t going to be great for the Blue Devils moving forward.

Here is a squad who suspended Grayson Allen, is trying to fit a bunch of moving parts (the freshmen) at once, and will now be navigating the Atlantic Coast Conference without its leader.

Is this a doomsday scenario? Of course not. But it isn’t ideal, either. You can’t just remove one of the best coaches in the history of the sport from a team that’s not yet operating at full-force and assume things will go swimmingly.

The Allen part is likely to be expedited now. Under the assumption Duke has no plans on punting on the season — nor should they with the depth of talent it has — the wing’s indefinite suspension is likely to be removed in great haste.

Still, even if Allen returns in 0.034 seconds, it doesn’t mean sunshine, rainbows and Rachel Leigh Cook posters await the Blue Devils.

Instead, the same problems Duke had will remain, but be even more prevalent, as the program won’t be led by the man who is tasked with building the foundation for this specific team’s success.

Harry Giles was having trouble finding his spot on the team as it was, Allen’s going to have the nation’s scorn not so gently placed on his shoulders, expectations to win the ACC aren’t going to go away, and so on.

Those are all the legit issues Duke was going to have with or w

as I said in the thread in the College Board, something needed to change, something to spark this team. I don't mind Coach K doing this. The team doesn't deserve a locker room that is as nice as there's with the way they are playing and not playing like a team.
