Anyone notice this seems to be on the defensive side of the ball more. I am curious if these guys realized they may not fit in the new system? Anyways, this sucks....Let get kids that want to be here, they will play harder, feel they have to prove something.

I thought Hicks was having issues off the field and that he was not as interested, and ND lost interest too?

He just committed to Cal. Will be EE

Well, it didn't take long for him to commit elsewhere. I recall hearing a month ago about his commitment not being very solid and then nothing so I guess there was a little more to it than we thought. I don't see them adding a lot of guys maybe one of the LB's but at this point they'll be doing well not to lose more guys.

Are we closing on anyone? I get that we're bleeding a bit and now that its down to crunch time people might be getting cold feet, especially with the instability and shitty record. Just haven't heard peep about any possible pickups. I'm not expecting any 5* to jump on board. Last I saw, it looks like ND is making a push at a lot of 3* types just to fill out roster spots.

Its sad that in 8 years, Kelly cannot field a full 85 scholarship roster team.

Maybe but recruits should be happy that ND made some nice moves. ND just landed its WR coach who is suppose to be really good. I think people are jumping ship because they know Kelly is on his way out. He needs to at least go 9-3 to save his job maybe 8-4 if we look good and beat a top team and the bowl game he might keep it.

Apparently the new WR coach can recruit. Let's hope these guys turn things around for next yr. Let's just go out there this yr and get these young kids some reps.

For the love of Pete, this program needs to find stability.

Been a little worried lately with these decommits and "parting of ways," but over the last day or so, I'm hearing quite a bit of chatter about the old and new coaches hitting the road hard and visiting with current and potential recruits to solidify relationships. I've also heard that ND has thrown out some new offers to (in particular to some DB's) who are currently committed to some other schools. I've also heard that after meeting with some ND coaches, one recruit decommitted (maybe from Oregon or Tennessee, but I don't remember for sure). After a discouraging couple of weeks here I'm trying to put my positive hat back on and hoping that these new, young coordinators and position coaches have some real fire in them and that they want to right the ship. Hoping that what felt like a dumpster fire at times recently ends up being a blessing in disguise.

GO IRISH! Onward to Victory!

the saving grace might be that Kelly hired assistants that seem to be good recruiters. I'm happy with the hires thus far but only time will tell if they can put a winning product on the field while Kelly is the head coach. For sure, Kelly isn't going to the NFL. I think NFL teams are starting to learn their lesson on hiring college coaches.

Sounds like Chip made quite an impression on this young man and his family. He visits on Jan 28th.

ND has just offered 3 star RB and committed to Duke Deon Jackson.

Elko working hard for ND recruiting right away. He is going hard after his #1 target 4 star DE Joshua Paschal. He is an Kentucky Commit but ND and PSU going hard after him. At 1 point ND was his #1. The hardest thing for him to make the switch is his brother is on Kentucky staff.

ND lost 4 star LB Simmons. He picked MSU.

Diaco becomes Nebraska DC. He becomes the highest paid Assistant ever at that program. 850K a year.
