Ive said that Robinson didn't deserve the outland and that our Freshman RT outplayed him, but Johnathan Allen earned his.

...That expanding the playoffs would be fucking stupid as it would only add a bunch of undeserving teams, creating more blowouts and more mismatches.

Offensive pass interference isn't called nearly enough. It's probably the most missed call in all of sports.

Been saying this since Reggie Bush won. After the NC game, there wouldn't have been one person not vote for Vince Young. Not one. Hell, Pete Carroll would have voted for VY.

OU fans know how you feel. VY got royally screwed just like Josh Heupel did when he outplayed Chris Weinke (who was held scoreless!) in our game for the 2000 National Championship. OU won the NC because of Heupel carrying the team but Weinke got the Heisman.

I had Brees and LT at the top of my ballot. Put Brees on either of those 2 teams and they win the title.

Brees lost 4 games that year, 2 of which to teams that finished with losing records. Add that to the countless miracles that team performed to win a few other games. Bree's senior year could have just as easily been 6-6 as they could have been 12-0.

With the playoffs now, it should be given out maybe the Monday or Sunday after the first round of the playoffs

Or, it could add in teams that belong but were left out.
Three loss teams do not belong in the playoffs, outside of Penn State what deserving team was left out of the playoffs? Oklahoma?

No kidding, shoot we didn't even need the semi finals this year. 4 is plenty, and in years like this year is even too much.

Penn St. belonged, they were the B1G champs and beat tOSU head to head. While I don't think we belonged, a lot of folks were saying USC should have been in because of the 8 game win streak and having beaten both teams who played in the PAC CCG.

Oklahoma started 1-2 then went on to finish 11-2 and won their conference.

The fact that 2 conference champs were left out would be a good start in determining what other teams may have belonged.

The problem with only 4 teams in the playoff is that it doesn't really take into consideration that college football teams tend to evolve (or devolve) as the season progresses. Every season we see huge changes in the polls because of this.

This is an unusual situation. You have a conference champ that lost to a high rated team from another conference. The committee would have a hard time justifiying Oklahoma over Ohio State with Oklahoma losing at home to Ohio State. I argued from the beginning that Penn State should have been in over OSU and that a conference championship and a head to head win should negate the one loss difference.

But honestly, who loses to Pitt? You lose to Pitt you shouldn't be in the playoffs.

This is why I think the playoff needs to expand to at least 6 and preferably 8 teams. It would mean that you could include all 5 conference champs, plus 1-3 wild card teams that didn't win their conference and maybe a mid-major level team that had put themselves into the conversation (ala Boise a couple of seasons back).

It would also eliminate the 4-6 weeks from the end of the season to the start of the playoffs.

Besides, more football is never a bad thing. Even bad football is better than no football.
