While I'm a BigTen fan (except for UofM) I would like to see the conference do better during bowl season. But even as a fan of the conference I'd never pimp them up & say they were the best in any given year if they could ever get their shit together & finish a season w/ a good bowl record.
Northwestern did win their bowl game...over the team that beat BOTH the B1G and National Champions.

Honestly the way our offense was playing to end the year I think Oklahoma would have taken a 2nd game rather easily had it been played

I was kind of wondering about this. Those two teams went in opposite directions as the season wore on.

Makes no logical sense at all. Ohio State was ranked 128 in returning experience yet they peaked early?

I find that very hard to believe. Oklahoma was obviously a good team, but before the Clemson game we averaged 39 ppg over the final 5 games. If we were able to do what we did to Nebraska, we would've still scored on Oklahoma. Don't forget, this was still a team that only gave up under 24 points in Big 12 play twice. Clemson beat us because of their elite DL and very good defensive backs. Oklahoma did not have those.

A head scratcher. But it did seem to go that way.

Although to be fair the defense did not fall off. D played at a high level all year. Offense just took a nose dive

Well to be fair, we faced 4 more top 10 teams after we faced you guys and went 2-2. You guys didn't play any. Switch the schedules around and I'd be interested to see how things went down.

Washington #4??? I'd take any of the other top 11 straight up over the Huskies.

How about 9 months later?

That works too. Though we'll both be breaking in new players. Brand new guys at our RB position, replacing Westbrook, and at least one of our ILB though Evans wasn't great for a lot of the year anyways. Our O and D lines as well as our secondary should be better though.

Who's gonna be carrying the rock for you guys? I've got no knowledge on your RBs behind Mixon and Perrine. Is that Adams kid good?

Has there ever been a 3 loss team ranked 3rd? FSU was the best 3 loss team and USC getting ranked that high is just stupid. The didn't win their conference, lost by 50 to Bama and barely won there Bowl Game. 3 loss OkieLite looked better in there Bowl Game, then USC. If it's about finishing strong FSU looked better and beat a better team, then USC.

We've actually recruited really well at RB. Rodney Anderson will most likely be the starter. Guy looks like he can be a beast. He actually would've been third on the depth chart this year, but a freak injury ended his season early. Shouldn't affect him going forward though.

After that it will either be Adams or possibly a kid coming in this year out of Georgia named Tre Sermon. He looks like he has loads of potential. Abdul Adams has the potential and looked good at times during brief playing time, but definitely needed a year to mature. He did hold a Bama offer if that tells you anything.

Basically, there's plenty of reason to be optimistic, especially with us returning our entire line, but they've still got to go out there and do it.

What about WR/TE?

What about WR/TE?

Still have Mark Andrews who looks like he finally might live up to his potential at TE/WR. No reason he shouldn't be a nightmare for teams next year. Replacing Westbrook will be no easy task, but we do have what might be another juco WR cast from the same mold, which could be huge in stretching the defense. On the roster Jeff Mead looks like he also might finally be ready to step up. Basquine is pretty steady. Lots of potential in guys like Mykel Jones and some other youngsters, but no proven stars like Westbrook coming back. Oklahoma always figured out receivers though.
