Composite has him 58th. 247 has him 79th.

No Oklahoma or USC offer for a reason.

I'm not gonna say Riley 100% for sure won't take us to the next level, but like I said after the bowl game, I think it would be very unlikely.

I don't buy Eichorst's story of how he had been dreaming to hire Riley for years and now he finally got his chance so he pulled the trigger. I believe the big donors who are mostly older folk wanted another Tom Osborne because they're dumb enough to believe that the demeanor on the sideline and in front of reporters really wins football games.....just because Tom won and acted the way he did. We have Mike Riley because the big money was going to leave if we didn't hire a really nice guy.

I dunno about all that, but Eichorsts whole "energy bus" and "energy vampires" bullshit definitely had something to do with it. Wanted someone who's an eternal optimist even when shit continually hits the fan.

The beady eyed fuck even came out and said recruiting was essential. Well your guy ain't recruiting.

He said Bo "didn't win the games that mattered". Well Nebraska lost to Wisconsin in OT.

This was supposed to be Riley's first class of his own guys. The momentum class everyone talks about. Your first class is supposed to be your strongest one.

This class will finish right where we almost always do: 25-30th. Maybe worse.

It's just tough to imagine. I saw Urban kick ass at Utah with a couple talented players and the remainder of the team loaded with less than average talent.

Eichorst's was Harvey the Pearl necklace's Perlman's bitch . Riley was a Harvey's guy. Until all of Perlman's henchmen are relieved of there duty I don't believe Nebraska football has much chance of just being a nice football team with a nice coach.

I'll never forget in high school seeing my bball team going from 15-5 one season to 2-18 the next season......with the same exact players. What changed? Our coach left.

It was easily apparent that we weren't going to win given his plans on both offense and defense. Coaching makes a difference.
