Appears this year we will be losing mostly on OL, LB, & DB but have some good depth behind them to step in.
2017 will be losing a lot of WR's, and some from every position. Our recent success which helps in recruiting couldn't have come at a better time for our program.

Bell and Golden only real losses on that list, seriously doubt Nelson comes back if he wants to be able to walk past age 40, Schwann was in senior day ceremonies, so he is gone as well...that said, minus Bell we don't lose a beat. If Farmer keeps improving in offseason along with Brown, we'll be fine at LB as well. OL from LT to RT will be Fries-Bates-McGovern-Menet-Mahon

Get left out of playoffs after we beat Wisconsin then take that anger out on Bowl game opponent.

In the end, if we win the B1G and they take 2 teams who were 2nd and 3rd in their division of the same conference, the playoff is going to get roasted.....especially if we win convincingly saturday and wax a bowl opponent while Bama steamrolls the skunkbears.

Again, if you told me, even the most optomistic fan, that we would be 10-2, East division winners, playing for the B1G title and a chance at the playoffs, I would have asked what sort of deal with the devil had been made. This team is ahead of schedule and going to be a monster going forward. We can go back to being disappointed with anything less than 10 wins going forward.

Wartman-White will be entering the draft instead of asking for a 6th year of eligibility. Here's to him getting drafted and staying healthy. :suds: He has been a beast when he was on the field. Good luck!!!

Think I am finally going to cave and buy season tickets this year. Usually scalp most games and have friend hook me up for big ones, but I got used to having that chairback in the south endzone so I am taking plunge....also want to get in now before the stadium gets redone and capacity gets reduced a bit.

HUGE NEWS, Mike Gesecki returning for senior season. He was the player I was most worried about leaving as far as how it would affect team next year. Still need to watch Godwin, Allen with Godwin seeming most likely because he may not raise stock a ton coming back, but he hasn't graduated and is big on getting degree

That one was expected for a while now. Don't know what he's thinking, whether he is just done with school and taking a flyer or thinks he is ready, but I will be surprised if he gets drafted above the late 5th.

Sounds like Godwin was poised to go for sure during season, but sees chance for a very special season next year and he hasn't gotten his degree which is an important factor for him as well....50/50

Sounds like Allen leaning towards staying as well.

Sickels' parents are in some financial trouble and I'm guessing he is taking a shot at getting NFL money or ready to move on and make a living with his degree. Sickels has played for a couple years and is pretty strong. I usually feel like guys who could add 25 pounds to their frame or 1st year starters can improve so much their second year and really affect their draft stock. I'm not saying he couldn't get better, but I don't think it is an awful decision by any means. Hopefully he will get drafted and stick with a team.

Godwin declared last night for draft. Can't say I blame the kid, his stock may never be higher. We are deep at WR, but he was special, caught EVERYTHING in his direction. I think Irvin Charles takes big step forward next year and Juwan Johnson emerges as well to compliment Blacknall. Polk back, along with incoming guys and Thompkins/Hamilton, we have the bodies, just need someone to be the GTG. Gesecki back is even bigger now.

Was hopeful Godwin would stay but can't fault him one bit for leaving now. You are right, his stock might be at an all time high now.

yeah, really, what more can he do? No sense risking an injury. I'm all for kids going when they are ready and he is ready....they all have finishing college/tuition paid for in their contracts when they leave early now, so he can always fall back and get that degree....believe he's only a semester away anyhow

Figured I would drop these here for y'all .Godwin is tearing up the combine. And from what I've seen from him on the field. He's going to be one hell of an NFL WR imo. He's on been on my board
