I didn't have much confidence coming into the bowl season giving our offensive struggles and more specifically the pass game. I didn't think we'd lose so bad but nonetheless it was great to still make the playoffs and I can't wait to see what we can do next year

Happy New Year to you as well and for our fellow Buckeye Nation hoopsters. I'm ready to move on to Burrow and Haskins for next season. JT had several chances to do his thing and didn't do it. Not all of his fault, but he just doesn't have the arm and confidence in throwing. Also, I think Zach Smith and Tim Beck will remain with the team, but get demoted. I really want to hire Kevin Wilson as our new OC going into Spring ball. Thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing. The offensive performance was bad enough that Barrett should have to compete for the job and not just be given the job. Beck needs to go. Demote or fire I don't caste but there was zero look of an offensive gameplan in that game. I'll give Zach Smith one more chance considering he was playing with a bunch of converted wide receivers and the only true receivers were freshmen. Those guys are year older next year tho and with the receiver class we have coming in, Smith needs to get it done.

Just my gut here, I honestly think Urbs has his eye on Kevin Wilson to be our next OC. Beck is gone ( Texas), and Joker Phillips went to Cincy. I can only wish we get Wilson.

Demoted to what tho? Where does he fit. I don't mind Studrawa but when comparing what he did with an inexperienced O line this year and what Warriner did with one in 2014 I gotta go with Ed if he doesn't mind taking his old position back.

Not sure what role Warriner will be? I like Stud staying where he is and think the OL will be very good next season. Now on to the hire of Kevin Wilson and why I think he may be the slam dunk hire. Look at what he did with Indiana with lesser talent. That Hoosier offense was pretty good. Can you imagine what innovative offense he could implement here in Columbus with 4 and 5 * recruits that he never had in Indiana? While on the topic, we need a new QB coach because Zach Smith isn't cutting it. Thoughts?

It looks like Tom Herman is cleaning out our laundry on the offense. RB coach Stan Drayton now leaving for UT. Wow, talk about cleaning the house.

Both are good coaches but maybe a change is needed on the staff after two years of all the units not clicking

that was a hard game to swallow. plenty of blame to go around. the simple summary is this.........

O-line got destroyed
Horrible play calling
JT has gotten worse instead of better

JT's time has passed. He's gotten progressively worse since '14. In no way should he be the starting QB next year. If Urb is smart he'll put his stock in developing the QBs that have been sitting the bench. If JT wants to hang around next year and "help", that is fine. He has no future in the NFL either.

Don't be too sure yet.. We just brought in a pretty good QB coach in to possibly groom and develop our new QBs in our system, but can possibly bring JT back to his old form in which he was pretty good not long ago? Also, Kevin Wilson is going to really open up the offense.
