True. Some might argue that's because Bama struggles against the type of offense Ole Miss runs.

Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. It's weird to watch.

One thing that does seem to cause Bama issues is a competent QB with good receivers who gets more than three seconds of protection. In recent times, opposing QBs haven't been able to get that much time, thanks to Bama's upgraded pass-rush.

Gave up 43 to Ole Piss last year, then gave up 40 to Clemson. Saban is overrated as a defensive coach. He is good for one or two games per year where teams just cut through an uber talented defense like a knife through butter. Especially in the biggest games.

2013 - 42 to TAMU and who can forget the 45 to Oklahoma.

2014 - 44 to Auburn and 42 to Ohio State.

Honestly, I think the teams are ranked ok at this point. Expand the playoff to 8 teams and there wouldn't be any bitching worth considering right now. If you can't make the 8 team playoff then you definitely aren't a conference champ or lost at least 2 games. With 4 that obviously isn't the case.

I'm not at all saying he's not great.

He's just not some genius god.

He can be/has been out coached by teams with real talent.

I think he'll be remembered for creating a monopoly in recruiting more than anything else.

At least for the people who know what they're talking about.

He's probably the best recruiter of all time.

His teams under-perform if anything.

It would have been really cool to see Saban use his recruiting prowess to put together a more exciting offense.

I understand what he has had in mind his whole career there, and it's definitely the best course of action, but the sheer number of elite athletes that go to waste at skill positions there (specifically pass catchers) is mind numbing.

I'm just saying I'd watch Bama games more if their offense didn't put me in a coma 9 times out of 10.

Got a little lazy after dominating the first half at 14 to nothing. Had a couple of turnovers that led to some lucky TDs for Colorado but they never led in the game. Only made it close at the end.

In the 40s ann't bad...unless your offense doesn't give it up quickly. Then it is bad.
