Well players have been getting injured a lot, and some had a hard time keeping on weight. It would seem he's taking a cleaver to the coaching staff of course one guy left for a head coaching job.

Any idea for a replacement? How was the DL coach at WF?
If Elko doesnt bring his DL coach then is will be Elston. Elston helped the Dline a Few years back. Most likely he is bringing his LB coach with him.

Elko is deciding what coach to bring. He can only bring in 1. Its between the LB's coach and DL Coach.

Well I guess Kelly did the right thing with Max. Max Redfield faild a drug screening that could of helped him stay out of jail and now he will have a sentencing. Most likely ending up in some jail time.

I would like to say I'm surprised but the kid just never seemed to get it on or off the field.

I think I had read that he would either bring his LB coach and have Elston coach the D-Line or bring his D-Line coach and have Elston coach the LB's. I think Elko is more a secondary guy.

Elko is a secondary guy. I'd love to see him take the safeties and let Lyght work on the corners only.

Same here. Glad to have Polian back on staff as well. Are we thinking Kelly takes over the offense and calls the plays?

I think so but to be honest I think he has been calling them from the start. the OC just assists on play calling. Just my opinion.

Some good news for the Irish. Kelly just stated that left guard Quenton Nelson and left tackle Mike McGlinchey are coming back. ND offense should have 0 excuses next year. They have all 5 starters coming back on the Oline. Almost every WR is coming back and we get Jones back at TE, and we have Adams and Williams coming back at RB. THis offense is stacked. Lets not forget the Offensive Frosh that are coming in.

I know we will have a no QB but he should have another players to help him out.

have the red-shirt freshman Golson game plan for Wimbush and he will be just fine. 15 to 20 passes a game along with 2-3 designed quarterback runs. Now, with that being said, ND had a much better defense back then to rely on. There is no reason to center the offense around Wimbush. It has to be a running attack.

Here are our receivers next year:
WR ESB
WR Claypool
WR Holmes
TE Jones
WR Boykin
WR Finke(slot guy)
WR Sanders(slot guy)
WR McKinley
WR Stepherson

Damn Wimbush will have weapons. I cant remember when ND had a better overall Group at WR. Then throw in Frosh and our RBs that we have. Wimbush should feel comfy with those weapons and a good Oline.

Unless there is another WR named Holmes on the roster he is transferring but otherwise very solid.
