I have seen this from a few sources. I am happy for Fickell, but why on earth with Coombs go as a ST under Fickell at UC? That would be a pay cut, no? I wonder if this will hurt our current recruits coming in or sway them to there second choice? Cincinnati interested in Fickell and/or Coombs

Take Fickell but not Coombs! Pay the man Urban. Mickey Mariotti an Kerry Coombs. Those are two assistants I always want at Ohio State

I understand it's not all about money for Fickell. I get he wants to be a HC and I am happy for him. I don't get why Coombs would jump ship with him as his ST/ DC at a smaller school and probably making less money?

Fickell to UC is official. Congrats Luke, you deserve it and you will always be a Buckeye. This has become a coaching tree for college football. Young coaches groom and will leave for a HC vacancy elsewhere. It reminds me a bit of the NFL GB Packers. I hope this won't sway his recruits away?

Is Coombs part of this deal? I know Fickell is done, but not sure about Coombs? Damn, we are about to lose the entire coaching staff. I hear Warriner may be up for the WKU job?

Wow! The timing is bad for us possibly? Losing Fickell may cost us Browning (committed) and possibly Werner another LB target. I keep hearing Warriner name being tied for the WKU gig as well? The timing stinks. I hope Urbs has a backup plan to fill these voids?

I don't think Warriner leaves for WKU. He could hold out easily for a P5 job. I've always heard Coombs is happy as an assistant and doesn't have the head coaching aspirations but things you change. I hope Meyer can keep him on staff.

Congrats to Fickell. He lead us through some dark times and has been around a long time. Go win some games at Cincy
