yep, here we go...let's see how if we get screwed or committee values conference titles and SOS

Kirby basically said it was because we had 2 losses compared to Washington's 1 loss. So why schedule a tough out of conference schedule. Washington played the 2nd worse strength of schedule but still made the #4 spot. Lets be happy for our team and so proud of what they have accomplished this year which isn't over yet. The 2 hottest teams so far have been PSU and USC and it appears we will be playing in the Rose Bowl which is awesome. Congrats to Penn State!!!

We ended up #5. They went with WSH over PSU because of WSH's more balanced weekly performances. So PSU's nine in a row factor could not overcome their 2-2 start. So we can live with it and a Rose Bowl berth vs probably USC.

Or is it rigged and should we demand a recount?

Not really surprised that PSU got hosed, the committee has demonstrated time and time again that they're incompetent. What I would really like to see is some kind of points system to rank teams, something like this:

2 points for a win
3 points for top 25 win
4 points for top 10 win
5 points for for 5 win
5 points for conference championship

4 teams with most points at end of season will make playoffs

Not sure if something like this would actually work but I think they need some kind of system so the selection wouldn't be so subjective.

Then add negative points for loses

I agree, no need to play conference championships if they mean nothing. Might as well go with 100 Independent's if conference play means nothing.

All three schools in the B1G East had great resumes. I don't think Clemson could win 2 games if they had to play Penn State, Mich and OSU. I don't think Washington would win 1.

The message is clear, conference titles mean nothing so they should eliminate them.

Congrats to the coaching staff an the players @ Penn State. They had a great season.
