Now it will be the John O'Korn show. Let's see if he can be the starter everyone thought he would be at the beginning of the year.

Unless they go to Shane Morris and decide to lose out. That guy is pure garbage and should have transferred to Western Detroit Tech Southern Northeast Lafayette Liberty Christian University.

Speight was never going to be the difference between beating the Sucks or not. O'Korn has been a proven starting QB more than Speight. If you look at our receivers, they are open almost all the time. It's one of the best units in the country and as long as you get rid of it quickly, you don't even need to be all that accurate to make completions.

They also need to bench Smith, he is not an adequate RB and only does well against MAC level defenses. Time to just unleash Evans, Isaac and Peppers. I mean seriously, I think Peppers should just be a full time RB as you utilize his talents better than he does at LB.

I agree on Allen except he has made some FGs. We need a better punter however.

The LB core is a joke. That unit is so bad, we still give up some big plays despite having an amazing D-Line and Secondary. I honestly don't think you lose much starting Bush in place of Peppers there. And personally I would start Furbush over McCray since he is a complete liability now.

That is my thoughts. I feel like teams are catching on to our weaknesses and you need to make the necessary adjustments. Even think outside the box a little bit.

I know Morris sucks. Speight scares me like the qbs we had 2,3 and 4 yrs ago, and then some. Hopefully O'Korn does better than Speight.

Well, that sucked. I think we're going to need a lot of help in the TO department if we're going to win next week. We did not look like one of the 4 best teams in CFB.

I was just looking at the cfb projected bowl games and a writer for fox sports says Michigan will play Louisville in the Orange bowl. That would be all right with me.

Probably will play FSU now since they are ranked ahead.

Well here's the question, Michigan only dropped to 5th, and thus is still ahead of Wisconsin and Penn St.

If Colorado beats Washington (currently ranked 4th), that would give Michigan a win against TWO conference champions. Outside of that trophy, do either Wisconsin or Penn St. really have a case for jumping a team that is not only clearly better than them, but also beat them in head-to-head match ups? :noidea:

It's really difficult to say, partly because the committee seems to be going through a bit of a change. Jumping ohio over both Baylor and TCU (the co-champs) sent a pretty clear message. Now, they seem to be backtracking a bit saying conference titles don't matter as much, they are just one factor, etc. Who really knows right now?

Honestly, I don't know if I want Michigan in the CFB. I don't really want to be Spartaned against Alabama this year, and that's about where we'd be. I think a match against FSU would be better for us, but I'd rather it not be in Florida.

:agree:.. I have felt that way all season long. All the JH hype, then I got to see Michigan play. They are a better than average cfb team but I don't think they're in the same league when it comes to Bama. If osu gets by the first team they face I think they will be humiliated on national tv if they have to play Bama.. Happiness is crushed buckeye nuts.

Jim is doing a good job. He's done more with Brady Hoke's players than any of us thought was possible after Hoke's last season. I think we're a top tier team, we're just not Alabama good. Alabama is like USC during the best years of Carroll. I don't think any team this year is on the same level as bama.

What is frustrating me is how conservative we get with a small lead late in games and how ineffective the OL is when we do. We never should have let little bro even make the game look close. We also should have iced the games against Iowa and o$u, but we failed to do so. My hope is that once he gets the guys in he wants, like Stanford, we'll be able to do that against anyone in the country.

Was kinda thinking the same thing. One legit thing from The Game was that the Nutz exposed what was really a concern all season long, the O-line. And Alabama's defense would feast on that!

Now, our defense would keep us in the game, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't like our chances.

Now.......an Orange Bowl bid, against a brand-name like FSU, which will beat the shit out of........that could be a great springboard into next year! :thumb:

You didn't like the gif? I was planning to use that on a future avi bet win.

I think we've got a good chance against a team like FSU, but I don't think our defense could keep us in the game against Alabama. Lewis would have a hard time staying with Ridley, and I would expect bama to generate more than 3 turnovers against us. That being said, I hope I'm wrong.

The gif was fine, the situation it depicts is not.

Kinda thought that would be mixed signal, but I was face-palming the officiating.

If we bring our A-game, and the officials aren't out to screw us, only Ohio St., Clemson, and Alabama have a chance at beating Michigan.

Which, in regards to Alabama, it would all really depend on the pressure we could get on Hurts. But given that Washington just had a pick-six against Colorado to go up 21-7, the conversation is probably moot.

Since we can't go back and make the game called correctly, I figured I would just poke fun at how poor and lopsided the officiating was. If you really are one of the best teams in the country, why in the world would you need 3 turnovers, 17-21 points, all important calls in your favor, home field advantage and overtime to win that game? If it helps any, that drive ended in a punt.

Sorry, I'm being a little superstitious. I was very skeptical against Florida last year and I'm hoping for a repeat. I think you're right. Washington just about sealed their spot. Now, I hope they blow this game wide open and Washington and Clemson end up 2 and 3.

Yup! :thumb:

Between that, and the fact they squeaked by a 3-9 MSU, a team that Penn St. crushed the following week, and needed overtime against Wisconsin (which I will granted them Camp Randall at night is tough), which.......

At this point my rooting is:
Washington to finish this beat-down
Clemson to take care of business
and Penn St. to beat the shit out of Wisconsin.

The reason for the last one is, while I think Alabama would beat Ohio St., they just might win, and I don't them to be able to hold another national title over us. So.......if Penn St. kicks the crap out of Wisconsin, there is a strong possibility the Committee takes them, as the conference champ, over the Nutz.

:thumb: Love it. Looks like we can check #1 off the list. Let's keep this train rolling.

I usually want B1G teams to do well, especially in OOC, but their fans make it really hard to not root against them.
