Badgers have a outstanding defense. I see this game being a low scoring game and turnovers will decide the winner. Badgers QB Hornibrook left game against Golphers with a head injury and we will see if he returns for game against us. Wonder if we will see Mahon back? The O-Line has played well but they will need to play their best game of the season against this Badger D-Fence.

Wisky is a no nonsense, no frills, physical team. This should be a classic.

One thing to watch this week is the health of Saquon Barkley, how bad is that ankle. Seems to be ok and he'll be ready to go but if he is slowed it's good to know we have some quality backups in Allen, Sanders, and Robinson who have seen a good amount of action and can step in if needed. We also showed this past Saturday that if needed, Trace McSorley can win a game with his arm.

PSU 24
Wisky 21 OT

I think this will be a defensive slugfest and will be decided by a single score. I'm not willing to make a call for who ends up on top right now.

i think it rides on Trace and our WR/Gesecki. Wisky will sell out to stop run, we need to hit some bombs to loosen them up. They are fairly one dimensional, but do what they do well...D will need to stuff the run or at least contain it. I really think Gesecki has a big game this Saturday

Just feel this team is so confident and locked in right now that we win this game somehow, some way.

Watch the 9 PM Friday WASH - COL game to determine our Rose Bowl opponent. Of course, we'll beat the Badgers.

We beat the badgers, especially if its by more than a TD, they'll have a very hard time keeping us out of playoff. If colorado beats UW, its no brainer we're in

I think we have to beat Badgers by more then a TD for us to be in playoffs.

Honestly it didn't look that way tonight. Not trying to be negative but I don't think PSU is jumping past Michigan. I think it's BS of course but PSU is still getting very little respect

No I think the Playoff Committee just punted until next week because they think this game will be extremely close. Whoever wins they'll bump ahead of Michigan next week.

I don't know. Michigan has quality wins over Colorado, PSU and Wisc. Granted they were early in the season, but will the committee take that into account? Meanwhile, Penn State would only have wins against OSU and Wisc, but much more recent. It could go either way.

Agree, they can come back next week with the "We place a high priority on conference championships" angle next week, otherwise, they take away any reason at all to play one...hard to validate taking 2nd and 3rd place from a division and leaving the conference champ at home...I think if Wisky or PSU get the chance they will pour it on this week with no apologies

Getting more excited as we get closer. Tomorrow night we get to see if Colorado can take care of Washington.

I'm going to say PSU wins 27-17, with the vast majority of points coming in the second half as is tradition. If we can figure out how to reliably put up points in the first half the nation better watch out next year.

I don't think that will be enough for us to reach playoffs unless another team loses unfortunately.

Ok, as the game gets closer, I feel better and better. I think this team is locked in and like All Star Chris said, pulls away in second half....31-17 Nittany Lions and watch the committee squirm

I am not much on predicting but I am pretty excited about the game. Been a Nittany Lion fan for almost 50 years. Who remembers Ted Kwalick, Chuck Burkhart, Charlie Pittman, Mike Reid, Jack Ham, Dennis Onkotz and some guy name Gantner?

Wow, old timer, I watched those guys play. Way back then, we got no respect in the rankings. I recall defensive back Neil Smith who had loads of interceptions but being a light weight, never got the call from the NFL he dreamed about. 11-0, twice in row, I believe it was.
