What else are they going to go after someone after 20 years? I don't know what happened, but it's clearly a serious offense that obviously involved a lot of violence. He seemed nice enough on these boards but I'm not going to feel bad about a guy who was basically dodging the law for so long finally getting nabbed. It's justice and I don't feel the need to wish him well. When guys like him do their time then that's a different story. But that's not the case. This is the law finally catching up with a hardcore criminal and that's a good thing. Unless he's full of it and this is nothing but a joke.

Aiding and abetting usually has the same statute of limitations as the initial crime.

Not sure how much you know about what that is all about outside of the glorified movies that speak mostly about the top of those families, but the soldiers really don't have the ability to say no when told to do something. Most didn't have a choice but to enter these families because of relatives, streets they grew up on, etc. You end up owing them anything and next thing you know you're on the dole. You can't just quit a job like that. They don't just kill you, but anyone you care about is at risk.

We have no idea what he did, or was accused of doing. None. Assuming he was really guilty of some heinous crime is lame. He might have done something really bad. Might. Might have done it on purpose and without anyone pushing him to do so. Maybe. There are so many other possibilities when it comes to anything related to the mafia.

I'll stick to judging people on what I know and leave the overreacting to others.

I understand there's a suspension of reality online but when some guy with mob ties talks about 7-20 because someone ratted him out for something 20 years ago then it probably has something to do with murder. I am in no way excusing or glorifying murder or other high crimes. No chance. If you do a crime you should do the time and our justice system really lets way too many off with punishments that are far too light for their crimes.

I personally have no idea what the individual we know as sonny was accused of or the facts in his case. I simply do not feel qualified to give any sort of opinion on it. I can only give opinions on who he was up here so I'll stick to that.
