114-113 was a possible result. There were a lot of toss up rounds IMO.

I feel like Kovalev won 4 clear rounds while Ward won 5 clear rounds. 3 were toss ups to me

I don't know which to make note of more. Kovalev's idiotic decision not to go to the body after he had damaged Ward (Only went to the body with jabs. Hard as fuck for a Mexican to watch this fight) or the fact that Ward had Kovalev completely figured out by the end of the 6th round.

Yeah Kovalev didn't dominate the fight, just the first 4 or 5 rounds maybe. That said his first 4 was stronger than Ward's latter 7-8

Whether you agree with the decision or not, Boxing sorely needed a fight like this. This was the best fight I've seen in a long time. You can say Kovalev got the knockdown and the early lead and should have won but Ward made it a fight, and it's amazing that he came back from an early knockdown to even make it close. I thought Ward won the fight. He might have lost a round or two after the 6th but he could have just as easily won the 3rd, for instance, on some people's cards.

A great, great fight.

I think the fight could have made a case for a draw. outside of the 1st 2 roundswhat did Kovalev do. I fell like ward certainly won 6 rounds. Kov won the first 2. There were 4 rounds that could have went either way. I honestly that it was a drw. The biggest discrepancy I saw was having 4 American judges .

Can't wait for the Rematch. I think Ward has the Formula to beat this guy easy know. Watd had to make it an ugly fight. Those of you complaining about Mayweather being a grabber plz dont say Kovalev won this fight. He was grabbing every time Ward got inside . Great fight. I have no problem with the decision . That fight could have been scored to either fighter.

I would never compare Ward to Mayweather. Mayweather hardly took on real opposition. Unless you count a green Canelo or an aging Pacquiao.

I'm not sure if a rematch would go to K. Ward was pretty clearly the better fighter for the last 7 rounds. It was almost like Ward was feeling him out those first few rounds

Nothing really happened in the 3rd, the 3rd and 4th rounds were recovery rounds for Ward. The only punches that mattered in the 3rd were landed by Ward, and he successfully kept Kovalev at bay and off balance. You could have given the 3rd round to Ward.

You missed the point people complain becaue of his hugging and grabbing, those same people are praising Kovalev . He hugged Ward the entire night. I don't even see how you conjured up me comparing Ward to Floyd. Ward is a great fighter. I think he will be an all time great. Since you think im comparing the 2 though Floyd IMO is a top 5 great during my life time.

But I will say this that it's not everyday to you knock a boxer down and he wins a unanimous decision.
