Turkle's POV?

Kesey was night security at an Asylum while writing it, right?

The book is narrated by the Indian, so...

Ken Kesey is unreal. One would think being the unsung leader of the Merry Pranksters would be the most interesting thing in one's life. It's not.

Okay, I gotta read the Damned thing for sure.

Kesey is definitely larger than life. When tDead is your House band, at your actual house, you're the shit.

Stand By Me
Gremlins
Life is Beautiful
Field of Dreams
Empire of the Sun
Cool hand Luke
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
The African Queen
Shawshank
Dances with Wolves

Good list.
The African Queen and Cool Hand Luke are both damn near flawless and hold up to repeated viewings over many years.
The original Twelve Angry Men is another near flawless gem.

On Golden Pond(which I left off the list) got me thinking Hepburn. Then I remembered African Queen being my Grandmothers favorite movie. So many rainy days rewatch ing with her.

Now I'm thinking of that time you asked Bill Walton if he wanted your autograph.

Dude, he was being so fucking smarmy too....like oh fuck, how inconspicuous, an 8 foot tall dude in a tie-dye standing aside the garb stand, looking like he was waiting for his $12,000 worth of paraphernalia.

It's the whole reason I did it, cuz he looked like he was trying so hard to be normal. Lulz

I am of the unpopular opinion that American Beauty and Forrest Gump sucked major bawls.

American Beauty was just a pretentious pile of shit, and Forrest Gump may be the most overrated movie of all-time...IMO.

Again, I realize these are unpopular opinions.

I lived with a dude in college that was completely fucking obsessed with the film. Thought it was greatest movie of all-time.

I love Hanks, and thought the movie was good enough, and pretty unique for the time, and as mentioned, the dynamic between him and Lt. Dam was pretty humorous.

I just found it silly, too long, and overrated. That's all. Please forgive me.

I'm strange. Some movies hold a 10 for me for awhile then I lose interest and can't watch them for several years.

Right now I have several movies that are on my 10 list. These are the movies when I go down to my mancave to watch the big TV, that I tend to take off the self first (I have approx. 200 blu ray movies down there):

Lucy
Jack Reacher
The Equalizer
John Wick
Gunman

When I'm in a Western mood

Quigley Down Under
Outlaw Josey Wales
High Plains Drifter

When I'm in a Mafia mood

Godfather Part II
Goodfellas
Godfather
Godfather Part III

Lucy pissed me off a little.

If I wanted to watch 2 hours of Scarlett Johansson with a dull, expressionless face, I'd fuck her.
