It really doesn't matter. That call had nothing to do with the outcome. I just disagree with the call. Even the RB knew he fucked up immediately when he turned around to look at the ball until the whistle blew and he knew he got away with it.
This is why every college stadium should have a student section in the end zone. Had he had people to go jump in the stands he wouldn't have dropped it
Not paying enough attention to those Idaho teams.

I just watched it for the first time. I left the bar as soon as he passed the first down marker.
Haines picks it up before the whistle blows and it was about two seconds after the runner fumbles it AND there was no "ball just lying around" period.
It was a bullshit call.
That being said, we deserved to lose that game because of fuck cock fuck coaching
Like ran straight to it and picked it up with his hands before the whistle blew? Like that kind of immediately? There is no way they were giving Texas that ball unless a texas player picked up the ball IMMEDIATELY

They do, it's the refs hands.Or have a ball depository at the end of the end zone.
What the fuck does "thought it was a fumble" have anything to do with this , mr debater? You're a waste of time to debate with. I seen this happen several times in the NFL. It was not an immediate recovery. And if dude really thought it was a fumble why didn't he start running the other way? Only the Cal RB thought it was a fumble. Everyone else didn't.
Yeah. You e never seen guys go past a fumbled ball while another guy gets it, right, mr debater? It only happens every week.2 Texas players ran right by the ball. The Texas player who finally picked up was the 3rd texas player. It's not an immediate recovery if 2 players from your team ignore the ball as well.
