9 years ago, Wes Littleton recorded a save... with a 27 run lead.

Marc Rzepczysnki headed to the Nats for 2B prospect Max Schrock. He was a 13th round pick last year, but he was an overslot pick. He's hit very well this year, batting .333/.378/.456 between A and A+ ball. He's got 42 XBH, 22 stolen bases (caught 5 times), and only 42 strikeouts in 543 PA. He was 15th in Sickels' preseason rankings for the Nats, but he would probably rank much higher right now. Carson Cistulli likes Schrock a lot.

Oakland A’s trade Marc Rzepczynski to Washington Nationals

Manaea left tonight's game and is day to day with a right rhomboid strain. Hopefully he doesn't miss a start, he's been pitching pretty well since mid-July.

Beltre is still a very good player. Hitting .291/.349/.499 with a 121 wRC+ and rates as one of the top defensive 3rd basemen. At age 37. There's a chance he passes Brooks Robinson (80.2) in fWAR this year. Beltre sits at 79.5, 8th all-time among 3rd basemen.

Even if WAR isn't your cup of tea, there's a pretty good consensus that Beltre is probably one of the greatest defensive 3B of all-time, if not one of the greatest defensive players period. Not only that but his career batting stats are quite good for a 3B (the league average wRC+ at 3B was mostly around 90-100 for the bulk of Beltre's career), especially for someone with so many plate appearances.

It has been a pleasure watching this man in a Texas uniform. He's a HOF without question.

He was in Boston for only one year, but I became a fan very quickly. Glad to see he's lived up to his contract (and some).

He has paid dividends on his original contract w Texas and his extensions and hopefully he will be productive through this last extension. Guy is a HOF player, no doubt.

Felix currently has the worst strikeout and walk rates of his career. In fact, his walk rate has more than doubled since 2014 (5.0% in 2014 to 10.1%). His FIP and xFIP currently sit at 4.57 and 4.38 respectively. He's never had an FIP or xFIP north of 4.00 in his career.

Maybe all those innings have caught up with him?

Mariners making a push. They have a few big opportunities coming up with the Astros (6 games) and Jays after they finish their series with the Angels. They also play the Twins and A's. Not to mention the rest of the AL East will be beating up on each other. Tigers still have 7 games against the Indians and a few with the Royals.

Pretty funny how for years, the Mariners had such good pitching/run prevention and they couldn't score any runs. Now they have a really good lineup and their pitching kinda sucks (at least the rotation does).
