And SC hires Helton. Holy shit with that choice. I don't get it.

Helton hasn't even been a head coach for a season yet. We have yet to see whether or not he'll be any good.

Miles is a known quantity.

Pretty positive it's not going to go well at all. Time will tell.

Unlike the last 2 adolescents we had, he's an actual adult football coach. That alone is an improvement.

Gotta get someone in there to kick ass and take names with that ridiculous amount of talent that USC has the capability to bring in. Once they are back to their dominating and winning ways college football will be better for it.

I sincerely hope Helton turns out to be the right guy. I do like him. However, if all he does is get us through a couple of seasons without any bullshit drama from the coaches. It'll be a good thing.

locking in on him as the guy and not even interviewing another candidate was a mistake. way too much stock was put into beating rival ucla. other than that what has he done? unless he does the unthinkable 10 win season something like that can't blame Mr swann for looking elsewhere. after all wasn't his hire.

I would have preferred at least a couple of interviews too, but I understand the reasoning behind it.

I would have a problem if Swann started looking after this season. I think he should be given at least a couple of seasons. This season he has a qb and 6 of the defensive front 7 that all were making their first starts in cfb and they have the #1 SOS in country. They could have a worse record than last year and actually be a better team by the end of the season.

Umm, no. I want the alcoholic Sark. He'd fit in like OJ and his glove prior to getting soaked with blood and rain.

Fits in better in Pullman, much more so than some faggity fake pirate or some coach who hasn't found a legitimate quarterback his entire tenure. Seriously had Les had 2 real QB's his entire tenure Nick Saban would've been fired by now.

No worries and no reason to feel threatened. You'll be right there soon too for as long as you're fortunate enough to have Coach Pete. The domination will be coming soon. It's just a matter of time. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Still don't need USC and their band making any extra noise.

You guys were great under Carr until 2007.
The last 4-5 years we were exactly like the last 4-5 years now of LSU under Miles - maybe a little worse because we couldn't beat OSU to save our lives. We haven't beaten OSU in Cbus since 2000. Lloyd stopped trying at some point.

If we needed a coach, I would seriously consider Les Miles ... I think LSU is ready for a change and so is he. For the moment (and many future moments - hopefully) we have this guy:

Who would you take between Dick Rod and Les? Tough call in my opinion.
I chose Rich Rod but Miles is not as bad as the poll suggests. If I were ASU I would take Miles over Graham in a second.

I would generally agree with that assessment.

I think U of Eh and ASU are both in for tough seasons though, but I bet you'll like your new DC from Boise Marcel Yates. Good coach. Seems like we replace both our OC and DC every single fucking year. Sucks balls but that's what a Group of 5 team that constantly wins has to deal with. The Power 5s want to find the magic formula to success and we can't afford to keep them around. It's a vicious, endless cycle.

I am beyond excited about Yates. He is what I was most looking forward to coming into the season. We needed a major defensive overhaul. Sorry we took him from you but I think BSU will be just fine.
