ACL injury to sideline West Virginia OT Yodny Cajuste for rest of 2016
With Cajuste, a starter, knocked out of the mix for the rest of the year, West Virginia will bump redshirt freshman Colton McKivitz up to the starting line. McKivitiz took over for the injured Cajuste on Saturday. West Virginia’s offensive line played well against Missouri, which allowed Justin Crawford to run for 101 yards and Rushel Shell to pick up an additional 90 yards. Each scored a touchdown on the ground.

When was the last time this happened??

TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, ALABAMA, USC, and NOTRE DAME all played in the same state within 24 hours in meaningful big time games.

That is like college football pornography for the purists.

The Blue Bloods put on a show for the Lone State State.

I don't think we have ever seen those 5 all-time programs play in the same state within 24 hours.

I am sure we probably have had some combination close to it....but this might be a gold standard.
It is extremely impressive to see that many blue bloods. Play in Texas within 24 hours. Thats a lot of history, tradition and success.

Ole Miss DB Kendarius Webster confirms he is out for the season
Early in the game Monday night against Florida State, Ole Miss saw starting defensive backKen Webster suffer one of the more gruesome leg injuries imaginable, leaving him to be carted off the field in tears. While the exact specifics and extent of the injury have not been confirmed just yet, Webster went online to announce he is done for the season. Anyone who saw the image or video of the injury likely suspected that would be the case.

ACL injury sidelines Florida WR Dre Massey for season
The season kicked off for the Florida Gators on Saturday afternoon against UMass. As it did, the 2016 season quickly came to an end for wide receiver Dre Massey, who tore his ACL on the opening kickoff. Massey remained in the game despite being hurt for the remainder of the first half, but he did not return for the second half.

Massey, a junior college transfer, worked his way up to being a starter for the Gators, so his loss in the first half of the season is obviously a tough blow for a team that has struggled to get much offense going.

Army cornerback Brandon Jackson dies in car accident
Army sophomore cornerback Brandon Jackson died in a car accident Sunday, according to the Times Herald-Record’s Sal Interdonato.

Jackson, a native of Queens, N.Y. and a starter who picked off three passes in his career, made three tackles and broke up a pass in Army’s 31-14 win over Rice on Saturday. Army is off to its best start in 20 years after beating Temple and Rice to begin the season.

“Words cannot describe the grief that our team is feeling over the loss of our brother and friend, Brandon,” Army head coach Jeff Monken said in a statement. “He was a beloved teammate and our hearts are with his family at this time of tragedy.”

According to News 12, police believe Jackson’s car hit a guardrail and flipped over in the crash.
