High school football

I watched or recorded all the games yesterday. A couple of opinions from the games:

1. IMG should be illegal. Their OL averaged 6'5" 325 lbs. They flew in those professional cool mist machines for the sideline.

2. Grayson -- their team speed was impressive -- they just got worn down over the game. Gibbs on Grayson looks like he is going to be an absolute stud for whoever signs him.

3. The top team in Colorado wasn't close to be as good as the top team in Arizona. Sagauro had a little white guy at QB and he ran and threw all over the field. Their RB was a little white guy and he ran for like 250 yards. Was very impressed with McCaffrey and excited to see what he can do with a line who can hold a block.

4. Bishop Gorman is stacked. Cedar Hill or Cedar Park or whoever it was they played was completely outclassed. Only TD Gorman gave up never should have happened, as the refs blew the call. Gorman didn't even have Tyjon Lyndsey playing either. Would love to see IMG and Gorman play.

5. The IMG/Grayson game has like 18 players in the top 300 -- that was amazing and doesn't even include juniors. One guy I was excited to see what was all the top guys on IMG's defense -- they weren't as impressive as I thought they were going to be.

that guy was pretty good. Kept looking at him on the sidelines, and trying to figure out the Ali bloodlines there...


hell, that was a great play by the little guy. First thing you learn playing football is to first, keep your head on a swivel, second, dont just walk around, anywhere.

It was a blatant personal foul. The play was over (the whistle had blown).

13 of them were from IMG. Also your head coach thought it was no problem to hold an entire week of Spring Football at said high school with all that access to these kids. I have a problem with all of it.

CFB coaches don't lie. It was all on the up and up -- Harbaugh said it was just a team building trip, IMG just so happened to have dorms available and a football field they could use. Had nothing to do with recruiting.

Ha yea I am so sure, college coaches never cheat. Cheating in recruiting is to college football what Roids are to baseball and football. Or doping is to riding bikes.

Southlake lost their coach to Westlake and some players to D1. I not sure how good they are. It will be interesting to see going forward. Lot of big names lost games in Texas this weekend

My cousin graduated from Katy. Seemed like EVERY Christmas they were playing for the title every time id talk to him. Got 2 kids on the OU squad as well.

Cedar Hill players are a bunch of punks.

Saw that live. The Texas team came into the game acting cocky and expecting to win. It's as if they had never heard of Gormon before (best team in the nation imo)Once Gormon started bending them over they responded with like 10 personal fouls.

They've definitely had a great run.

I'm not sure there is an "elite" team in 6A this year. Just week 1 so I guess time will tell. Just doesn't look like there is one.

I know. Lake Travis went down also. That was the biggest shocker. 2 of the top 3 lost. Westlake goes to teh #1 spot in Texas. QB is great. He hurt both knees in the game. If he misses time Westlake is done.

Meh...kid learned a valuable lesson. If you are on the field you are playing football. Walking around watching somebody else play is for bitches. The little guy squared up and hit him in front of the pads, the big kids coach should be reaming him for standing around.

Ah, the old " the play ain't over till the whistle blows". I remember this fat kid who used to pull that annoying shit 50 yds away from the play. I saw him coming out of the corner or my eye and put my helmet directly on his knee cap and shattered it. Basically went all willis mcgehee on his ass. He never pulled that bullshit again.
