I like Day's chances the most.

Never count out Bubba at Augusta, though. The course is made for him.

Adam Scott needs to be on that list. I am not saying that he will win or that I am rooting for him. However - he comes in as one of the hottest golfers on the tour & has won before at Augusta.

Kaymer will probably never win the Masters with his fade....Spieth has posted -6 today...with this wind, that's going to stand I think today...the afternoon guys like Rory and Day will be hardpressed to catch that....edited to note...Day didn't get that memo...-4 thru 8 is pretty strong.

Spieth looked terrific
Piercy , Horschel were -2
Hoffman ,Walker ...Snedeker -1
Mickelson , Holmes even

otherwise it was European dominated
Lowry -4
Casey -3
Rose -3
Poulter -3
Kjeldsen -3
Garcia -3
Willet -2
McIlroy -2
Westwood -1
Fitzpatrick -1
Stenson, McDowell even

Wow - in hindsight except for Spieth & to a lesser extent Day & Johnson nobody on the original list (& Scott) even came close. Most of them either missed the cut or had a horrible weekend overall.

I would never again trust Johnson or Stenson in a major since both of them will always fail with their putters. Most of the others could definitely rebound in the other majors since most had a bad day or two due to the elements. Should make for an exciting remainder of 2016.

Fuck the Masters...THIS Open was terrific.

The Masters is my least favorite. They just seem so smug with their elitist course and a bunch of members who maybe show up once a year to actually play the course. And you don't even get to keep the jacket.

I think that the British Open TV coverage was by far the best. Unlike some of the other majors they capture every minute live. NBC/Golf Channel also have the best coverage by a mile, and they use people who cover golf all year & are way better than some of the hacks at the other networks.

My favorite by a mile and then some, but I've been there a few times too.

It's not the most exclusive though.

I still think the Masters broadcast with limited commercials is the best even though Nantz can get on my nerves a lot...that said, the Open Championship was the best competition in a long time...NBC did a much better job than ABC had been doing. The one thing I don't like about it is weather is so unpredictable and fierce that the draw can heavily influence the outcome sometimes.

I have to say I'm getting a chuckle out of this comment. It's not that I would have disagreed with you at all back in April when you typed it out, but in hindsight it's pretty funny.

Knowing that Johnson and then Stenson have won the two majors after your comment makes me wonder if I could get you to dump on the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox, LOL

It is funny in hindsight.

On Stenson...he's never been a great putter on fast greens so the Open...running at 9.5 to 10 they say was right in his wheel house.

DJ...his accuracy and length were just going to keep putting him in contention...he blew it at the '15 USO on account of his putter, but didn't he lose the PGA because of grounding in a bunker or something.

The Masters does not show all of the golf played unlike this one. I love how Golf Channel & NBC cover every minute of the tourney & have - by far - the best analysts in the best (Johnny Miller's know-it-all attitude not withstanding). CBS and Nance also have non-stop boring interviews w/ CEOs and other types as well as showing all these stupid documentaries while the tourney is still in play (you can watch those things elsewhere anytime you like).

LOL - you got me! I totally forgot about this (now stupid) comment! Feel free to ask me about other picks so that you can make $$ betting just the opposite.

Related to this - how about the fact that the last 4 majors have been won by 1st time winners - most of whom have had a very long drought.
