Yes, they are covering Steph. But this may shock you guys... Steph is covered a lot. OKC tried to as well. Defenses tend to gear up to stop him. It isn't an excuse for his poor play. Defenses gear up to stop LeBron. They did the same for Kobe and Jordan and Bird back in the day. Steph missed his fair share of wide open 3's game 1.. let's not pretend like that just didn't happen. Steph being a better player than LeBron is probably just not true right now. I love Steph, he is great. But I can't discount how wildly inconsistent he has been in his 7 career finals games. LeBron was to after just 7... but let's stop the excuse train for Steph and admit the dude has not lived up the hype on the biggest stage...yet.

This is also why you guys are making far too much of LeBron's losses in the Finals. He is the best player in the world and has been for the last 6-7 years. That does not always equate to championships. This year's Cavs squad would not have even made the playoffs if LeBron was removed from the roster.

No, I don't think he should be in the conversation for GOAT, but I honestly don't understand why people want to diminish him by saying he does not belong in the conversation. I haven't heard anybody saying he does.

Let's get one thing straight though, it is not the losses preventing him from reaching Jordan, it is the lack of wins. The important numbers for Jordan are 6 rings with 6 Finals MVPs. If LeBron reaches those marks, he will be in the conversation despite the losses.

If he puts together a winner, then we'll give him credit. He didn't put that team together in Miami, Riley did.

This whole line of logic is beside the point anyway. We are not debating LeBron's all time rank as a GM. We are debating him as a player. You watch him play you know he's an all time great. Why is this even still a debate? I'm not arguing if you should like him personally. Hate him, love him, whatever. He's an all time great basketball player. No one has ever been like him, that big and that fast and that high a basketball IQ. He looks like he was designed in a lab to be the perfect basketball human.

Seriously?!? The losses are the reason for the lack of wins. If he had won more, he'd be in the conversation for GOAT. He's 2 -4. If he were 6-0, many might be calling him the GOAT right now. If he were 5-1 or even 4-2...he'd be in the conversation.

Instead, he's 2-4 and looking at 2-5. He's an all-time great, but he's out of the GOAT conversation for the same reason Jerry West is...he's got a terrible finals record.

Right now, sure. You can't compare the resume of an active player near his prime to somebody who has retired and played a full career. That is crazy. You don't know what LeBron will accomplish in the future.

also, I know most will disagree with this part, but it is entirely stupid for the main criteria for GOAT to be rings won. That is a team accomplishment. Jordan would have 0 rings without Pippen. Magic would have 0 without Kareem and Worthy. LeBron would have 0 without Wade and Bosh. I could go on, but you get the point.

If he retires at 5-6, he will be.

not trying to be a smart-ass, but I don't think his career will last long enough for that...

matter of fact, some are saying his age is ALREADY becoming a factor...

I don't either. I am just sick of people acting like losing in the Finals is somehow worse than losing before the Finals. Losing is losing.

The Lebron debate is probably the dumbest debate on these boards. Reason being is because you would never convince one side to agree with your view so its really a waste of time

lol was going off the listing...

and btw, gotta say I love having the West Coast Advantage...

used to HATE staying up for games when I was in New York...

Yeah. I'm new to the west coast. The game starting at 5:10 pm is great on the weekends (a bit of trouble after work). However, it's nuts that the sun doesn't go down until about 9:30 over here during the summers.

And who cares if Lebron is not in the conversation for GOAT? He is damn near a lock to end his career as a top 5 player of all time. I rarely (if ever) see anyone even mention that he is better than Jordan
