For informational purposes only... for those who need to learn things and stuff.

Way back in 2012 Former Bronco, Dolphin, Bears and current Jet Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall got into some trouble outside of a nightclub...

Marshall is currently on trial in civil court for allegedly punching a woman outside that that club.

Former NFL receiver Mike Sims-Walker admitted in court Wednesday to offering to take the fall for Marshall.

"If I need to I'll take the blame; I"ll say I hit her, " Sims-Walker acknowledged having texted to his former college teammate.

Sims-Walker acknowledged that Marshall didn't ask him to take any of the blame, and clarified his comments when questioned by the plaintiffs attorney. "I mean, just in case, worst-case scenario, if this (trial) gets out of hand, I'll take the blame," he said.

Marshall is expected to address the comments when he returns to the stand Thursday.

The man will NEVER be without trouble and drama following him every where he goes.

Poor human being, poor teammate... Never been apart of a playoff team in his life, because no well run organization wants a ticking time bomb sitting around.

You get a one year, maybe two year honeymoon with Brandon. Where it's all touchdowns and smiles. Then, the inevitable happens.

EDIT: And there's apparently video. Wow. This could be another Ray Rice thing.

Some of you old turds like me (48) will remember the 85 Bears. Good thing we did not jettison talent because 22 plus guys were nuts on that team. Hoorey for PC football.

Lmao... "The video shows nothing"...

Not the point. The point is that trouble and drama will follow Brandon for the duration of his career. This also happened in 2012, which is when he was well into his; "I'm recovered and holier than thou" schtick.

Also, there's plenty of evidence he punched the lady in the face if you read into the case. It would not be the first time.

"A little nuts"... Dude, he has the rap sheet of a lifelong criminal. lol

Extremely talented, but not a guy you want around your team. It couldn't be more obvious, why do you think he leaves every team he's ever been with, in a fury? "HOW COULD WE TRADE BRANDON FOR A 5TH ROUND PICK!?"

Hmm... why the fuck do you think that's all anyone was willing to give?

and who gives a fuck, he was a beast on the field that brought wins to teams. How sad is it that our legal system waits 4 years til people forget what happened. Why didnt you post this in the NFL forum since it deals with teams that are not the chicago bears?

I knew I could count on Joey to bring up some trash about Marshall after my comments yesterday, it clearly shows where your priorities are.

Lets see if Forte spat on a sidewalk somewhere, got some on a white guys shoes and brings headlines in the rag new york papers.

Go ahead with your leoism of bullshitting my post like it bothers me.

Oh, YEAH! Totally!

"How dare he be chastised for beating the shit out of women on multiple occasions! Liberal faggots!"

Comparing the cooky big personalities and trash talkers of the 85 Bears to a guy who has been in and out of legal trouble his entire life, multiple times for beating the christ out of women?

You're delusional. Get a grip. Please. Holy shit...

@richig07 . I don't care about his past. I know he has had, and still does have problems. I just don't care. There have been thousands of assholes in the NFL. The guy is a stud on Sundays and we are a lesser offense without him.

He has? Hmm... how many playoff teams has he played for?

How sad is it that our legal system waits 4 years til people forget what happened. Why didnt you post this in the NFL forum since it deals with teams that are not the chicago bears?

Irrelevant that the legal system may, or may not be fucked up. This is the first time all of this case has been brought to light, including the video. So of course it will be talked about.

I knew I could count on Joey to bring up some trash about Marshall after my comments yesterday, it clearly shows where your priorities are.

Hmm... Brandon Marshall's character isn't relevant to this board? Seems like it's been an ongoing subject for years.

Lets see if Forte spat on a sidewalk somewhere, got some on a white guys shoes and brings headlines in the rag new york papers.

OOOOHHHH YEAH! Spitting on a sidewalk, and bashing a woman's face in. Same thing!

This is SO great. You delusional Marshall apologists are finally out of room, and have to resort to this type of horse shit to try and wiggle your way out. Comparing the 85 Bears personalities and spitting on a sidewalk to crushing women's faces in.

What a joke. Lmao.

Lets just agree to disagree Rich. Neither is changing our thoughts. Hey man why did you not weigh in on the Mo thread?

Yes, Noon. I do not care either what a guy does outside of the locker room. As long as he helps the team win, I don't care.

However... Brandon's imbalances and psychological issues have spilled DIRECTLY into the locker room, and have caused LARGE damage to the inter workings of every team he has been with. To the point where they have been forced to dump a pro bowl receiver, for next to nothing... Because he is simply not worth dealing with anymore.

Every where he's been, by the end, teammates have been wishing they could pay his way out of town. The fact that this has surfaced, is just poetry in motion and shows the exact reason why you can't have this guy on your team.

You get roughly one year of a honeymoon with Brandon, and then the bull shit slowly begins to start. There is a very good chance he gets the NFL mandatory 9 game suspension for violence against women. But hey... He helps the team!

Time to wake up... Do you SERIOUSLY think these teams WANTED to dump a WR with HOF abilities!? Do you? Honestly ask yourself that. Why would you dump a HOF caliber WR for a 5th round pick, unless he had completely worn out his welcome with teammates and virtually has a rep for doing so every where in the league? Come on man... Get with it. Brandon HAD to go. There was no other option...

No. I believe you are a logical human being. I believe there are undeniable facts here that Brandon had to go, and refuse to believe anyone who can think even semi-clearly could possibly not see the obvious.

@noonthirtyjoe

What is your belief? That we dumped Brandon for a 5th because... what? It would be a funny trick to play on the fans? What about Denver? And Miami? Who also dumped him in his prime for extremely underwhelming compensation? Do teams just think it's hilarious to fuck with this guy?

Are they conspiring in back rooms together, while he scores touchdowns for their team. "Oh man! This is going to be hilarious when we trade him!"

How do you not pickup on this OBVIOUS trend of him burning bridges EVERYWHERE he goes? With coaches, teammates, GM's, etc... I cannot even fathom how someone actually thinks teams are just ditching this guy for no reason. As if the GM's of these organizations are UNAWARE of the numbers he puts up. Trust me, if YOU, Noonthirtyjoe of the Bears sports SportsHoopla message board is aware that Brandon Marshall is an exceptionally physically gifted WR. The damn GM's that traded him, are also aware of this.

THERE'S A REASON that he doesn't last anywhere! He's an AAASSSSSSSSS! No one wants him around! He's been in and out of legal trouble, for violent crimes against women nonetheless. Then, somehow... (MAGICALLY, in your eyes, I know)... incidents of fights with teammates/coaches spring up wherever he goes, and everyone grows to hate the guy. There's a point where the physical talent stops outweighing the damage he does to the team by being an ass.

yes, there is a reason, Denver dumped Marshall in 2009 after going 8-8, following year they went 4-12
Miami, stayed 7-9 both years, I guess you can say he did not help or hurt them
Miami dumped him stayed 7-9.

Bears got him and they went from 8-8 to 10-6 and was right in the middle of the nut hugging when he was buddies with your boy Jay Cutler. My problem has never been his stellar attitude change, the fact he started the Brandon Marshall project 375 while he was a model citizen in chicago, the problem was everything was fine until he blamed Jay cutler for one bad play. ONE BAD PLAY. Oh, and by the way, the same offseason they needed to get rid of this cancer, they decided to sign a repeat wife beating offender in MacDonald, and it was just fine.

Jets got him, they went from 4-12 to 10-6.

We could have used a few of those football wins last season huh?

Hell,I dont remember BM being in any trouble while being a Chicago player..... The only thing I remember of his troubles here was a locke room incident where he called Jay out......(hey someone needed to)

And the other was wanting to fight a listner of a radio station?...... Did I remember that right?

Brandon did no wrong while in Chicago.

And as far as the I don't care what he does off the field comment, that's kinda silly, cause punching a woman in the face is not cool.

@Rich. You must be right. No way three teams give up on a guy that good without a reason. Just sucks for us fans. We had no real WRs in forever and then bam BM AJ. A real tease to a fan base in dire need of WRs. I still believe we could have done better then a 5th rd pick tho.

Marshall's a beast on the field.

He's a moron off the field.

With that said, I won't pretend to know the pressures, temptations, gold-digging whores, vultures en sech that a celebrity does.

I am in no position to judge a life that I know nothing about, but ya just can't hit a girl. Just fucking leave the situation ya fucking retard!?!
