Was just curious so thought I'd check.

Tom Brady's cap numbers are $14 million for 2016, $14 million for 2017, $22 million for 2018 and $22 million for 2019.

"He's taking less money for the team!"

"What a bargain!"

Can not WAIT to watch this unfold!

1) That's an excellent contract for the Patriots.

2) You don't understand contracts.

3) Your mother should have had you tested.

I love it when you hate on Brady. I really do. However, those cap hits are incredibly good for the Patriots.

The extension was set up as a "Just in case" deal for Brady. His salary for the next two years is $1M just in case the NFL gets the Berman decision overturned. If Brady has to sit for four games, his salary taken by the league for the four games will be $254,000. If he was getting the original $13M it'd be almost $4M.

At the end of2017, Brady will sign another extension, get a $50M signing bonus, and a $5M a year salary for 3 years. and retire after 2020.

Doin' the Pats a favor and making sure he gets his due dollars........no moss growin' anywhere near Gillette.

Big Ken, how much value do you as a Patriots fan expect to see from these deals?

Excellent deal for them.

14 mil on next years cap. 18th in cap hit among QB's in the Brock, Bradford, Kaep area.
14 mil on 2017 cap. 19th in cap hit among QB's... In the Dalton/Foles area.
22 mil on 2018 cap. CURRENTLY 5th in cap hit among QB's, but that will change as new QB's get deals. Based on expected cap increase would be 12th in todays money, in that Alex Smith/Cousins range.
22 mil on 2019 cap. Again, same kind of range in today's money, Smith/Cousins.

So his cap hit on average as long as QB prices do not increase higher than the cap increase (which they have been), should hit around 15th on average at the QB position. And that's IF he's still playing at 42 years old.

NFL teams ought to be setting up their players more often with multimillionaire model wives. lol

Just do a comparison. Flacco just restructured.

Signing bonus:
Flacco: $40M
Brady: $28M

I love this deal. Brady quite arguably the best QB in the league showing leadership. Will he get paid on the back end whether thru his TB12 Company or ownership probably. Sounds quite business savvy.

The icing on the cake is if the NFL suspends Brady he and BB are saying FU NFL enjoy that 250K. It won't even make a dent in the amount you spent on this witch hunt. I love it.

I hope Roger has been putting some nickels away? His salary continues to drop and will likely find the unemployment line soon.

Serious question here; if the NFL loses this court battle do they take it to the Supreme court? When will your team owners say enough is enough? Then again these losses are likely tax write offs for all of them?

Big Ken is a "hit and run" poster. You'll get a response in a couple of days.
