Confirmed

yeah, I put him in the list yesterday, forgot to update my post. Curious to see who we close with, the last 2 bumped us back up to 13 in 247 composite rankings. If Chavis clears admissions, he's a Lion and will be an immediate impact player. Snelson would be nice grab and hopefully a surprise or 2 up JFF sleeve

I don't think we land Ferns, pops controls that recruitment and they've been to WVU a million times, yet couldn't find time to make it back to PSU for visit. I think they don't want to have to choose which son to go watch on Saturdays

Damn Hamlin to Pitt. Could have been worse at least he didn't go to OSU. However we do play Pitt this year week 2.

Matthews flipped to Pitt, because they decided to recruit him as WR and he bought it. He's way too slow for it and everyone, including Pitt was recruiting him strictly as a defensive player and try to find out where as his body filled out.

Are we waiting on anyone else or is this going to be it? I know Snelson is out there, but it looks like he might be going elsewhere. Ferns looks unlikely as well. I guess Rashad Weaver maybe?

Ferns is definite no go, there's Snelson, Weaver, Anthony Johnson, Hill (longest of longshots)

There is some potential shit news though. Apparently Pryts may bone us on a signing day flip to Stanford. Its puzzling because he is a legacy, had told the staff as recent as a couple days ago he was solid, now he's going to stick his pops Alma Mater at the midnight hour. Shaka toney also no guarantee to sign with us, Pitt has told him he can play DE, we want him as an OLB/DE hybrid, he is eating up what he wants to hear...he is our lowest ranked recruit, but I would like to keep him. We kept all our studs and most important pieces, will end up somewhere in top 20 depending on who may bolt and who signs in their place.

Coaching changes, which had to happen and will make us stronger in long run main reason for this.

Shaka Toney confirms he's sticking with PSU, good news, Pryts is the only one to watch now, hope he stays, but looking more and more like Stanford. Hopefully we pull Snelson tomorrow

Miles Sanders was first to send his LOI in, Franklin told his mom one day the 2 of them could write a book on recruiting and she laughed.

All 20 accounted for, Snelson chose UCF where his brother plays, may be in on a couple grad transfers this Spring as well. Very solid class with some great talent that will make immediate impacts. Sanders, Chavis, McGovern, Menet Joseph, Gillikin and Barbir all probably play next year, Sanders will have a big role for sure as will Chavis.

The way we started and the way we finished today in recruiting was disappointing to me. Yes it was a "good" class. We failed to get a great class which it started looking like we would. Once again we did land some great talent but the way we finished just left me feeling like I only ate a appetizer and I couldn't afford the main course. To bet OSU, UM, MSU we have to beat them in recruiting and we didn't do it this year. Harbaugh and Meyer recruiting is scary. Well now it's time to get our offensive line in order.

Predictions on our starting line?

Depends on whether or not Tyler Catalina transfers in or not, as it stands, I would go:

LT Palmer
LG Gonzalez
C McGovern
RG Bates
RT Nelson if healthy

Word is the staff is ready to put the young guys in, feels they are at least on par with what they have and have more upside. Could see someone like Beh, Sorrell or Laurent in their early, but that could be our OL by midseason....maybe some Menet at G as well...Bates can flex out to T. I know the staff has told McGovern he's not redshirting. Also expect Gaia to be back on defense.

247 = 19th
ESPN = 18th
Scout = 22nd

Not horrible but when we were top 5 for a couple months to end up in double digits stings a little. Well onto 2017 recruits.

If we kept everyone, and got Nixon we'd still probably be about 10-13

We were composite 247 19, which takes in all the major services. I mean, I hated the way we finished, but the strong start doesn't make those players any less impressive, especially holding on to them with all the BS and negative recrutiing tactics that every program trying o steal them was pouring on.

17 already off to very good start with Clifford, who fits Moorhead system much better than Donovan anyhow and Rivers.
