He'd sign 30 if he could. He's using the Saban model.
He can sign 30 because 7 enrolled early. In fact, some predicted the class to go that high. We had a very small class last year (14), lost a lot of 5th year grad transfers, so I guess we'll see today. A big class is needed to fill spots after two small ones.

The real question here, though - how many kids got the late night phone call last night that they don't fit the "meritocracy" and no longer have a scholarship?

I'm sorry, but this is pretty slick. It's got an NFL draft day vibe to it:

Last I heard, Michigan wasn't signing any players from Ohio. Must not really want to that good again.

That's because we raided the east coast and the south. If we get Gary, that will be 5 out of the top 10 kids from New Jersey. 6 from Florida and 4 from other SEC states. Given the last 15 years and the trend towards talent coming from the SEC, and not the Midwest, I'll take that swap.

From the looks of it. ND out recruited OSU for the top Ohio recruits, getting the top two OL from the state.

Michigan players just haven't been panning out lately -- going all the way back to Kevin Grady. There has been a lot of really over-ranked guys coming from our state. We had like 4-5 top ranked CBs from the state fail before we got Jordan Lewis.

Or the question could be, how many kids will the OSU doctors fail on their physicals?

I think this has more to do with the fact the Michigan coaches haven't been developing them very well. Under a good coaching system, bet you more of those kids would have worked out

That's the best you got? One recruit. Granted he was a very good one but that hardly gives ND the recruiting edge in Ohio

I think everyone seems to be pretty healthy this year.

Plus, that's so last year. These are the days of Harbaugh reneging on promises, everyone knows that.

2 of the top 3 are coming to Ohio State, and 3 of the top 5. Do you know how to math?

Some Michigan insiders saying on twitter that Gary has told Michigan he's coming. But you never know (Stupid Pryor).

This. Keep the sleepover stories on your own forum. Can you imagine how diluted the CFB board would be if every team made an official recruiting thread here. There are team forums for a reason.

It's one day a year, and all the recruits are choosing between several colleges. So I don't see the problem with this post.

I hope a few did, as it probably means that Michigan has a 4* or 5* to replace them! :suds:

They got the top two OL from ohio this yead, one being the top player in the state. The other, the #4 player in the state.
I'd say taking 2 of the top 4 players from a talent rich state like Ohio is impressive for any school.

Do u know how to read? The OL stands for offensive lineman, which is where both players ND signed play.
