Great Pick up....was iffy for a bit in reference if he would commit but he did.

On the other note, some sour grapes for Chris Daniels decommiting, bummed to see that. So far we have 1 recruit on the defensive interior. Which should be okay, because Monty got so many good ones last year. But still a couple more would be nice.

I just saw that. The recruiting process has just gotten ridiculous at this point.

Yeah, not saying this is a bad pickup but getting a JUCO last minute, whose only offers. Not that stars mean anything but he is a non-rated LB. His offer list....Akron, Ball State, Rhode Island the biggest name is Arizona.

With the decomittments, this signing period is, "ehhh" some believe we may see future decomitments. Considering we were Big 12 champs and were in the playoffs. Wonder if Clemson, or Michigan State is having the same lackluster signing.

Michigan state has never recruited at an exceptionally high level. I think these signings are more for depth with Alexander deciding to leave early. The Doucet guy is interesting.

Romeo, you and I have discussed this before but the truth is the Oklahoma football program has slipped to the point we simply can not recruit NC caliber players in the number we need to regain the status we used to have. Bottom line, a football program's recruiting and on-field results (just like a company or a person's physical health) can only be poor for a limited amount of time before the ability to fully recover becomes less and less possible. We caught lightening in a bottle last season with a good run against teams that didn't have their starting QB's. But the lack of talent on our team became glaringly obvious the minute we stepped on the field with Clemson......again. Shit. We both hate it. But the bottom line is, the only way this gets better is with new blood in the HC position. And that's no guarantee. We also need some luck but until Boren/Castiglione bite the bullet you and I are stuck watching the same movie over and over again.

Bob made some big changes to the staff this last year. The lack of talent on the field this year was the product of complacency of the last few years. The 2017 class will tell us a lot about whether bob has done what it takes to right the ship in regards to recruiting. So far, it's off to a good start, and it's only a start. I'm willing to extend him that much rope.

We're pretty deep at DL and there's still a 50/50 chance we get Daniels.

our 2017 commits are looking good so far...

It's damn hard to compete for kids after 8-5 seasons, takes more than one year sometimes to recoup "the juice" or whatever you call what makes your program better than the others.

It looks like we're patching as best we can. At this point, I couldn't tell you that we would be favorites to win the Big XII again.
