... and the 2 month rental of Ramon Sessions for a 1st round pick the previous year wasn't the smartest.

I just checked -- that picked turned Jared Cunningham (taken just after Jenkins ... before guys like Teague, Plumlee, Wroten, Crowder, D. Green, Middleton, O'Quinn). After 4 other teams -- JC may finally have found a spot in the NBA -- back with the Cavs.

Certainly turned into a worst case scenario. Just think, though, if they hadn't traded for Dwight. They probably would have given Bynum a large extension. One positive I guess.

Yep and were not depending on melo to lead them

They may have struck gold with Derrick Williams, guy was the #2 pick not long ago

Think they stole Grant, the ND kid, on draft day.....

And their own lottery pick looked pretty good himself

He could be a 20 & 10 type of player if he can consistently make a jumpshot

As a Wolves fan I am EXTREMLY skeptical. Ricky is all heart and last night he was locked in as a tribute to Flip IMO.

That shot is still flat as a little girl. I doubt it continues to go in for him at a really high rate as the season wears on.

I personally love the guy. Love his attitude, love his smarts, love his energy. But I just can't imagine him finding a way to average 20 points in a season. I know he puts the work in (reportedly a GREAT worker) but some guys just never become good shooters no matter how much they work at it and I think in the end that is Rubio's fate.

I think the Knicks have an upswing this year, but I think last game against the Bucks was a bit of fools gold. The Bucks didn't have 3 major rotational player including two starters and a 6th man (Giannis, Jabari and Mayo). On top of that the Bucks didn't challenge the guards of the Knicks which is their major weakness right now (at least defensively). Getting Afflalo back will help alot though.

The Knicks won't have trouble scoring this year. Their problem I think will be mainly defense and they played against a Bucks team that isn't really a team that puts up buckets. I think they'll struggle against a lot of teams with superior guard play. MCW and Bayless aren't exactly that threatening.

Kobe with 24 shots- making 8 for a 33%... - THIRTEEN of those shots being 3's...

CMON MAN!

Laker's would be so much better of if Kobe blows his Achilles again in the next couple of games.

Be interesting if Kobe gains a little perspective as the year goes on and tries to help the kid's develop by taking less of a dominating role or if he just continue to inefficiently chuck up a shot every time he touches it in order to get his meaningless stats.

Obviously only one game in but one name fans should get to know is Nemanja Bjelica.

Wolves rookie but he's played in Europe and he looks like a real player during the pre season and the one game last night. 6'10" stretch PF who can handle and shoot and gives good effort on D.

As a fan of a team who has had nothing to cheer for but raw, inexperienced youth for the last 10 years, it's refreshing to get these type of Euro kids on the team and actually watch players who play the game the right way.

He's going to be a very, very, very similar player to Mirotic on the Bulls.

Randle can handle the ball as well, you see him take the ball up and drive the lane? Flashbacks of Odom in his prime.

Man, I watched some of that Magic game and I don't see how they are gonna be able to play that backcourt together, long-term, unless one of those guys learn how to shoot.

Olidipo is Super athletic.

But, I could see Henojoza replacing him in a year or two.

I mean, they are not MCW bad.

But, they need a shooter in that starting lineup for spacing and Tobias is not the answer.

Yeah I was super impressed with him.

The one question I had for him coming out is if he would be bothered by length but he spent most the game going against lengthy guys and wasn't bothered a bit. And he was MUCH quicker than I remember him being. He does look like he trimmed down though a lot now that he got to the league and got rid of that baby fat (like most bigs do).

The key for him is going to develop an outside shot to keep defenses honest against him and be able to space the floor. If he finds that, he'll be a top 5 PF in the league for the next 10-15 years.

MCW was awful.

But, I agree the Knicks actually have some talent.

Folks are smoking the sticky-icky if they think Derek Williams will have those kinda numbers all Season.

But, with Afflao, Porzingis, Calderon, Serraphin and O'Quinn, its no longer a 1 man band.

I know....

Payton and Oladipo just cant play together in the same back court- I mean- you HAVE to have at least one of those guys be able to shoot 37% (or better- 40% ideally) from 3...you just cnat have 2 guards neither of which who take or make 3s at a high level.

Is there no way Oladipo can play point? Payton I mean is just AWFUL at 3s- he doesnt even take them...and Oladipo seems more valuable than Payton....do you move Payton?

Hezonja is definitely the solution to their shooting woes it looks like but they gottta get him out there and its gonna take him a while to develop on the defensive end.

I have heard a lot of good things about Aaron Gordon thus far though in the preseason and the of course newly started season. They passed Randle and Smart and Exum to take that guy- and i think id rather have these other 3- but we shall see...

SERIOUSLY

24 shots 33% shooting 13 three attempts for Kobe. I mean at what point is Kobe going to wake the fuck up?
