Just started reading this thread from the beginning and I can say that I find the first 3 pages quite comical! But the thing that makes me laugh the most is this post because of how accurate the very last sentence was. Ha!Listen I get Mets fans excitement but the reason your team is in the playoffs is because the NL East was historically bad. For all the talk of added players and late season pushes the truth us that AFTER the additions the Mets were still 1-6 vs playoff teams. You guys took advantage of playing in a crap division, congrats. In baseball anything can happen so I won't say you can't win this series but it would shock me if this even made it passed 5 games
FIFYMaybe. The difference in the staffs is negligible but the difference in offensive firepower is huge. The Dodgers pitchers could pitch well and still give up 3 or 4 runs. The same is not true on the other side.
Glad it didn't decide the outcome though
Murphy is the new Beltran. He is making himself some $ this postseason.
We're talking about the Cubs not your momNot gonna happen
They suck dick
Gotta love his enthusiasm.
I know it's not over, but if they came back from this deficit against this pitching staff, it would trump that 04 ALCS by a mile
We're talking about the Cubs not your mom
The Mets have some pop...I don't expect the Mets to give up 6+ runs at all in this series. If they do at most it will be one game.....not 3 games as St. Louis did. You need to be honest with yourself and realize the Mets has a much better rotation than St. Louis so runs will be harder to come by for Chicago
Riz is a really good player and a perfect leader for the Cubs. Should be a great 10 yrs.
burn?
Like yo mommas cookiesburn?
lmao
Like yo mommas cookies
Hah hah! You look foolish! Oh wait...
Fun with numbers: the Mets and Cubs are virtually identical in all the offensive stats.
...Runs Hits 2B ..3B HR RBI ..Avg ..TB .LOB .OBP .SLG OPS
Cubs. 689 1341 272 30 171 657 .244 2186 1165 .321 .398 .719
Mets 683 1351 295 17 177 654 .244 2211 1098 .312 .400 .712
Let's talk about what the Cubs have done this series.
Pretty much nothing, like you predicted. Everybody was claiming they would be scoring ten runs a game, but the reality is their offense isn't that much better than NY's
