I think he does have a good chance, especially with his running. His passing is right there with Cassel, but I'm sure Rex is just thinking of the options with Tyrod and McCoy in the backfield.

Was listening to Tim Hasselback on The Russillo Show today talk about the Bills QB situation. Reading the tea leaves, it sounds like Tyrod has the inside track for the starting gig. He mentioned how their OC loves to run the ball in packages using various personnel (they have Harvin, McCoy, Watkins) and Tyrod adds to that option attack way more than the other QBs. And considering some other stuff I've read and seen the last couple of days, all he has to do is just not totally meltdown in these preseason starts (ie nothing gaudy, just don't turn it over), he'll be out there Week 1.

Really hoping he gets that shot. He's such a great guy, from his time at VT and in the pros, that he deserves a crack at it. Hasselback even went as far to say that he's a good, smart football player and the only reason its taken so long is he's short.

Tyrod looked pretty good tonight. He was kinda in a bad spot with Buffalo missing its top 5 RBs and top 3 WRs but he still looked poised and moved the ball against most of Cleveland's first unit. He was crisp with his throws and his decision making was sharp for the most part. He took one bad sack that made a 37ish yard FG into a 47 that was missed, but other than that, he was solid all things considered. Manuel didn't really do jack until late in the 4th so I don't think he gained any ground. Jon Gruden called the game and raved about Tyrod so that's a plus (though Gruden basically loves every QB ever).

My guess is Tyrod will get more work with the starters in game 3, especially if the Bills can get healthy, before they make the call between him and Cassel

I thought he did a solid job for the most part as well. Had some good runs and showed his ability to move to make plays in through the air first before just taking off. I'm hoping his play making ability will win him the starting job over Cassel.

It's not official yet but my guess is Logan Thomas is getting cut from Arizona. The Cards just traded for Matt Barkley.

Nick Becton and Josh Morgan cut by the Saints

Might be the end of the road for Morgan. Can't imagine too many teams will be looking for a 30 year old #3/#4 receiver. I'd like to see him latch on somewhere but if not, he had a pretty decent run.

Technically you were right as he's not currently on the roster due to his holdout.

That must explain why I missed him. I just did ctrl+f of "Virginia Tech" on each team's roster page. I only figured out I left Kam out when I saw him on SC yesterday
