Jabrill Peppers--recruited as a CB but moving to safety could also figure in the return game. He's a Charles Woodson-type player.

Christian Kirk WR -Making some headways with the coaches and players. What I hear on the radio he is way ahead of Speedy Noils and Ricky Seals Jones when they were freshmen. He's a very good route runner, good hands, might not be the tallest but built solidly enough to get off press and succeed against physical competition." Might be another Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant in the works?

It's Hassan Ridgeway. 6.5 sacks and 9.5 TFLs playing the nose. He is a first round talent. Question is if he will show consistent effort. Modern day Shaun Rodgers.

Yes, Green Mile is one of my favorites for sure.

On offense give me Burt and the other Mesquite kid, McNeal

Great choices as well. McNeal is going to be a star, I have no doubt.

In fact, I think McNeal will get a TD in game one.

CB Tee Shepard. Projected starter last year but missed all season due to injury.
Welcome back. Let me be the first to say goodbye because like last year you'll disappear after the losses come.

Gonna go with Joe Mixon on offense, and I'm thinking somehow Cody Thomas also turns up.

Sophomore (RS). Reports are mayfield hasn't taken care of the ball. Knight has supposedly looked really good, as has Thomas, but knight has been better. The question is whether the change in scheme will allow knight to flourish or if he'll fold under pressure again. If the latter happens word is Thomas gets the look.

so is Riley's offense a total new install?

apparently at Texas, they're installing a completely new offense, even tho most of us thought it would just be a tweak. At least that's what it sounded like in Watson's presser yesterday. Said he "had to completely forget what he's done the last 34 years" and that Norvell and Traylor (new coach, former head at Gilmer HS, East Texas) were key in making the change...

scary thought installing a new offense, tho TCU did alright last year doing it.

The zone read is pretty much gone. Riley is stripping things down to keep things simple with an air raid scheme. Word is he still wants to get the ball in the RB's hands a lot and will find ways to get Perine and Mixon on the field together a lot.

I remember the TT air raid offense; RB's got to run in a lot of space, that's for sure. Lot of draws, delayed counters. Hopefully Riley wont forget about your RBs, I doubt he will.

Word is, he really likes getting the ball to them. I'll tell you another guy to watch for who could really thrive in Riley's offense is a guy you probably haven't heard of, Daniel Brooks. He's a smaller scat back type guy who is quick as shit. Not much to get fired up about between the tackles, but give him a little daylight and he's gone. Good hands too.

RB Joe Mixon Freshman 6'2" 217lbs
TE/QB Dalton Wood Freshman 6'5" 250lbs
DE Austin Roberts JUCO 6'6" 265lbs

All should make an impact from day 1.
Is Joe Mixon really listed as a Freshman? That's some messed up shizz.

"Punch a woman in the face and be forced to take a red shirt."

Sorry - that is messed up.
