Damn!!!
Feel bad for him & his wife but why the fuck are you in a club the night before a game?
That's what a lot of these players do.
Did you also know that a couple Hawks players were there?
They couldn't have landed very much before then.
The hawks player I don't blame much because at least they got to NYC late in the night. I'm pretty sure the Pacers were in NYC early yesterday afternoon. No need to be out the night before a game unless you arrived to that city late due to having a game earlier that night
Two Hawks players were arrested for trying to interfere with the investigation. What's that about?
A person is guilty of obstructing government administration if the person intentionally interferes by force, violence or intimidation, or by any physical act with a public servant performing or purporting to perform an official function.
Both were charged with obstructing governmental administration:
Yeah, just saw that on Dan Patrick. I wonder what the hell they thought they were doing or if they knew the person who did it?
Yeah, I'm interested to see the details when they come out. My first thought was along those lines... either they were trying to protect Copeland or the guy that stabbed Copeland? Wierd?
The more I think about it, though, the thing that makes the most sense is they were probably just trying to get the hell out of there so they wouldn't be linked to it in the media. The cops then probably told them... hey you guys aren't going anywhere... we're going to interview everyone involved so sit down and wait your turn. At which point they point they probably used either intimidation factors and/or physical shoving to try to get out of there anyway. And then they got arrested.
Thats my guess.
Glad to hear Copeland and his wife are alright but why do players go to a club the night before a game? Hawks just beat Phoenix yesterday and play Brooklyn tonight, do they really need to club in between a back-to-back game?

Sad situation...people can't even go out and have a good time.
Sounds like Copeland may be nothing more than a victim.
But, what about those dumb ass Morris Twins?
Someone please tell me this is not true!
Who the fuck commits an assualt and flees in a Rolls Royce Phantom getaway car?
Like Deion Sanders told his son: Stop the Hood crap when you are a huxtable kid with a trust fund!
McStupid.
The Phoenix Suns' Morris twins live by the mantra "Family over everything." Phoenix police say Marcus and Markieff Morris put those words into action when they and three others committed felony aggravated assault against a man the 25-year-old twins learned had sent "inappropriate" text messages to their mother. Police have made no arrests and no charges have been filed. A spokesman for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office confirmed Tuesday afternoon that prosecutors are continuing to review the case submitted by police.
Hood reportedly escaped a second time and was near the front of the complex when the group caught up to him and assaulted him again to the point of unconsciousness, according to the police report. Witnesses told police they saw the five subjects flee in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, but none of them were able to identify any of the subjects. Investigators reportedly interviewed about two dozen additional witnesses who said they did not see anything or could not identify those involved. Hood, who later identified Kane and the Morris twins as three of his five attackers, suffered a broken nose, a large knot on the back of his head and abrasions, records show. The woman who accompanied Hood to the game also verified Kane and the twins as being part of the altercation.
For their part, the Morris twins have denied assaulting the reported victim, whom they also claim not to know, and their mother denies having been in contact with the man on the day of the incident, though authorities found evidence to the contrary, the police report shows. USA Today Sports
