Your feel good story of the day comes via Swedish superstar and all-around good guy, Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Sweden's national team for players with learning disabilities couldn't afford the cost of going to Brazil for the INAS World Football Championship, so an array of Sweden's footballing stars vowed to help out, including Johan Elmander, Andreas Isaksson and Kim Källström, who donated jerseys and cleats to help the fundraising effort.

Ibrahimović was asked to do the same, but the Paris Saint-Germain star did one better.

Assistant coach Stefan Jonsson, via Yahoo! Sport, explains:

I spoke to Zlatan and asked if he could donate a shirt and he said, 'what the hell are you going with a shirt? How much is it to go?' When we said that we need to SEK 350,000, he asked for the account number and he deposited it.

It’s unbelievable, incredible, fantastic. I still have to pinch myself to believe it’s true. Thanks to Zlatan a life-long dream will soon become reality for all of us involved.

If only the Whitecaps could play the minnows in MLS like they played against Sporting KC on the weekend.

GO Bayern/Liverpool! :yahoo:

I'm 50-50 on Liverpool. They could either end up like Atletico Madrid did after selling their superstar and compete on all fronts and even win one, or like Tottenham and have a train wreck of a season.

Also can't understand for the life of me why they aren't giving a regular spot to Tiago Ilori. When a CB playing for a relegation-battling team gets man of the match against Barca, he's got enough fucking talent to compete with Mamadou Sakho for a spot in the starting 11. Not sure why they needed to spend $30 million on Dejan Lovren when you have that on the bench.

Geez, all the best Saints players ended up at either Liverpool or Man U this past off-season. I'll be amazed if Southampton doesn't get relegated.

I actually think the fair play restrictions on Man City helped rather than hurt them. They went out and got Mangala to solidify the middle of that backline, which was probably their biggest weakness. That was really their only big move, which is better than them going out and getting more flashy midfielders/strikers. The talent is there, Mangala and Kompany will be monsters in the middle on D, I'm hoping they can take that next step and actually compete for the Champions league.

They bought Fernando from Porto earlier in the summer too, who has been insanely underrated for years now. Him, Fernandinho and Yaya will make one hell of a midfield. If Joe Hart can stop himself from Joe Hart'ing so much, or Willy can actually take over the goalkeeper spot and be good, City might set a record for goal differential this season.

It's nice to have 100 million pounds in the Southampton coffers, but the fans want a competitive team on the pitch as well. I hope the Saints training academy can pump out some more players.
