Oh and for smokey and the bandit, make sure you watch the original and not one that hasn't been edited heavily for political correctness/curse words.
I agree,.....I couldn't believe how much better ''Beverly-hills-cop/1'' was unedited vs. edited on free tv, too.

I saw ''platoon'' at the cinema back in 86 when it first came out, I've never wanted to see it again [don't know why?].....but I always seem to watch ''wall-street'' [1987] everytime it's on.

You should see Godfather 2. Just as good as 1. It is ok if you never see 3.... In fact, don't bother seeing 3. It will just ruin your overall view of the "trilogy"...

I agree on Godfather 3. It had a couple of good scenes in it, but it's not worthy of being in the same company as the first two. It's kind of a mess.

Never seen Forrest Gump.

Never seen Gravity.

Wish I'd never seen Dances With Avatars.

Could have lived without The Hobbit and it's follow up.

1 and 2 are stellar and I actually think that 2 is one of those sequels that is better than the first one, like Aliens. The scenes with young Vito (De Niro) and Clemenza (Kirby) are great.

I agree... DeNiro's scenes in Godfather 2 are some of the best in the movie.

I found this on YouTube the other day. Coppola's comments regarding DeNiro back in '76 are pretty amazing.

I'm not a gue movie buff so there are tons I've not seen. Here are some off the top of my head.

Titanic

Any western older than Young Guns.

Most classic movies in general. I can probably count on 1 hand the movies that I've seen that are older than 40.

Most James Bond movies. I think the only one I saw was from the 60s, ironically enough given my previous comment.

Only saw about the last half of Slap Shot. From what I saw, I thought it was okay but nothing spectacular. The ending was stupid and not what I expected at all.

I've never seen a second of any of the Harry Potter or Twilight movies.

Any Batman movie that didn't have Jack Nicholson in it.

A popular movie I have seen but wish I hadn't was 300.

I've seen the original Indiana Jones trilogy and the 1st Back to the Future more times than I can count but I was shocked to recently learn that my girlfriend has never seen any of them.

The best James Bonds are with Sean Connery, especially the 1st three and those with Daniel Craig

The Batman movies from Batmans Begin on are all worth seeing.

I concur. It bothered me too. It was like watching a movie through ski goggles, everything was yellowish.

And I flat out hate CGI.

Lawrence of Arabia would be ruined if the made it today. Nothing would be real.

Never watched Harry Potter movies. I don't have tape on my glasses. And I'm old enough to shave.
Never saw Avatar. Because I don't like Smurfs.
Never saw Hunger Games. Because I am adult.
Don't watch many movies. Because movies today are pretty much crap.

+1 On the Daniel Craig Bond films, Casino Royale and Skyfall in particular... didn't care for Quantum of Solace after the first ten minutes.

Another great movie from that era is Broadcast News... smart and funny.

You get to watch Leonardo DiCaprio die, slowly. And Kate Winslet's tatas are featured.

Avatar was fun to watch in the movies in IMax/3d but I don't think I've ever seen it again when it comes on TV.
