lack of sport games

for the new consoles is just ridiculous......There is literally nothing out right now, besides MLB the Show. And this is the time I need sport games the most (summer) because there is no sports on TV...

But once late August hits we get swarmed with new sport games, Madden, NHL and NBA 2k all launch within a month of each other. But at that time I am in no need of sport games because my life is consumed by CFB...

NBA 2K has completely lost me. It's 2014, if you can't make your online content usable you should just go home.

NHL will likely be the only sports game I pick up this next year.

I plan on picking up Madden (because of no NCAA) and also NHL and 2k.

Madden is a whole different game on the ps4. The physics engine is the same but the AI utilizes the extra power well and the end result, especially on the ground, is awesome.

the only thing I dislike about Madden which I could do in NCAA is multiple seasons....in NCAA it was fun because you oculd recruit and the players were all generic.

IN madden you have contracts to deal with and after like 6 seasons your real life top QB retires and you have some generic player replacing him, so you get a mix of real life players and generic players on the same roster.

Damn you O'Bannon for ruining greatness.

I'll give you that the single player is meh. It's all about head to head for me, though. I can't sit and play against the computer in a sports game too much anyways. If I'm not against a real person I need some kind of story.

I usually develop my own storyline when I go into dynasty modes. Like creating rivalries and such. Its why NCAA was so fun, I could play like 20 seasons and not get old. 20 years in Madden would be brutal.

Madden blows the old gen the fuck out of the water. It's the first time I've felt even a little bit like I'm playing actual football.

Not complaining at quality of sport games on new gen, but the lack of options so far. Wish for the first year they would release games sooner than usual. I'd like NHL to drop now.

I don't usually play online.

It's a pretty good offline game. My biggest complaint about 2k14 is the AI is downright retarded. Hey, if I'm standing here calling a play I don't want two people running towards me (also bringing their defenders closer), get the fuck open so I can get you the ball. We all know how easy it is for the computer to steal the ball in this series and when your teammates want to stand 2 feet away from the ball it's a guaranteed turnover. If you have a XBOX watch out because any sort of sound can possibly get you a technical because the Kinect thinks you might have sworn but it could have simply been a sneeze or something strange.

I usually get NBA 2k every 2-3 years because after about 15 games it gets redundant and I feel like ive played it a million times before.

The neat thing about the current one is that you get feedback on your controller as to which hand is dribbling the ball so if you're driving with the right you'll have some rumbling on the right side of the controller. This helps a lot with dribble penetration.

is FIFA good? Friend is coming in from out of town and FIFA is a great co-op game. but haven't played it since about FIFA 2004. How long are games?

I love Fifa. I'm so addicted.

But the games are basically however long you want them to be. I used to set the minutes at 10 minutes which usually take a half hour but now I moved up to 15 minutes which takes about 45 minutes or so.

I wouldn't suggest getting FIFA now though because they're coming out with a new one in September I believe

Yeah, but I most likely wont get '15 since there will be a load of other sport games on my Wish List to get.

Could be a fun little Summer game to get though.

Right now is where I hate the fact that there isn't anymore CFB games. CFB usually came out in the first week of July and gave me something else to play in addition to the show/fifa
