So I didn't tap the space bar once. That's all you've got? Or are you trying to nitpick the use of the colloquial "we".

I avoided saying YOU as it addresses you directly and is more confrontational. As in when a student who is part of a group fucks around and gets WAY OFF TOPIC the teacher doesn't say "BBB doesn't know how let this go, blah blah blah" they will instead say "Since we're not able to let this go, we'll continue talking about shit that has nothing to with the free agent signing that most fans and hockey pundits find a good blend of money and term. In other words the signing of David Legwand and the actual topic at hand."

But seeing as I'm becoming increasingly less concerned about being confrontational and/or offending you, I'll re-phrase it for you: since YOU are unfamiliar with satire...you or my secretary can fill in the rest.

Yes, I'm sure by linking to the definition of the word satire (on Wikipedia, no less, but...) I'm sure you were trying to bury the hatchet in a civil manner after your repeated hypocrisy and inability to accept an opinion that differs from yours.

And I was referring to the "we", because I really don't think you're representing many people right now. Or anybody.

Sigh. Once again I have to point out that NOTHING in this post has anything to do with the topic at hand.

I'm sorry that I felt the need to point out that some of my statements were satirical (would you like peer reviewed sources in exchange for Wiki?).

All that aside, please elaborate as to how I was being "hypocritical".

I tried, in all cases, to bring the conversation back to the topic at hand.

All that having been said, I do have a HUGE problem with posters who respond to team evaluations with one-shot emoticons. That shit is just flaming. YOU did that. I don't like that. Most posters here don't like that. Most of us left the swamp to avoid that kind of garbage.

Your original post that triggered this was weak, trollish and contributed nothing to the thread in which it was posted.

As a Leafs fan I'll let you know when I want a club-level Starbucks coffee to make ME feel better. It'll likely be right around the time the Leafs don't choke on their own wrinkled cocks. See you in 2024.

What's that saying about glass houses?

And while I already said the Leafs are awful and don't take offence to Leaf bashing and apparently that doesn't get through to you, I'd just like to thank Ottawa (or Kanata or whatever cow pasture the Sens barn is located in) for showing Leaf fans such hospitality by giving us a lower ticket option and 3/4's of the arena every time the Leafs are in town. It's even sweeter when the season ticket holders ignore Eugene's emails instructing the poor saps NOT to sell tickets to Leaf fans and they do so anyway.

"Have a great season watching a team with one legit NHL forward, a midget goalie who got lucky for one season, a defense led by a caveman with a billion dollar contract alongside some useless kids and a coach who can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same. While you do it keep enjoying a team that will be lucky to get 50 points this year while charging an average of $3000 for single game tickets.

Ohh and finally. Just a heads up. Nothing says Leaf fan douchism louder than mocking the location of a hockey rink and what people do with their tickets (not me or any member of the actual hockey team)

Last I checked this wasn't stubhub or some fucking urban planning message board.

So, just to summarize, you making fun of Leaf ticket prices? Justified. Me making fun of the fact the Sens are the road team in their own middle-of-nowhere barn 6-8 times a season? I'm a douchy Leaf fan who thinks this is Stubhub for some reason.

Yep, nothing hypocritical about that at all.

Holy fucking shit!!! If you STILL don't get the point that I was mocking your inability to stay on topic when I was making fun of Leafs prices, then I don't know what to say.

My first comment was regarding a lack of direction by the Sens, and literally nothing more. You responded with your next post with a barb regarding the Leafs choking on their own cocks while the fans shelled out "$3000" for seats to watch them lose. You went off topic first, so please tell me how I was responsible for going off-topic?

Wrong. You said the Sens lack direction and made a stupid, flaming comment about their captain which is at least somewhat close to the topic at hand.

I then responded pointing out how the Leafs always choke of late.

I did not mention the ticket prices until AFTER you came out with the forensics stuff.

Anyway I won't say any more on the subject because this is really stupid. Enjoy the season. I hope that you have the opportunity to contribute many more enlightening 1-emoticon posts regarding how bad my team is (I think that was what you were trying to accomplish but who the fuck knows at this point).

Legwand sound excited:

Playing for a Canadian team is] something that always intrigued me. Being down in Nashville for 14 years, that's something I never really got a chance to do. I think it'll be exciting being in a winter city and a cold city and a hockey market; I think it'll be pretty fun.

He doesn't know about the Ottawa media yet...

Do you think losing two captains in consecutive summers doesn't speak directly to the lack of direction of a franchise? How is that off-topic?

I am truly, truly sorry for a using an emoticon to describe your comment about your belief in the strength of your favourite team. I honestly did not know how personally you would take it.

Only market in Canada that didn't sell out all their games last season, and they were expected to be a playoff team.

Leafs and Habs games at the Crappy Tire Place were always sold out, though…

I was truly shocked when Murray said straight out in the interview that they have given the wrong people the "C" in recent years in Ottawa. That not only insults the 2 former Captains , but also the Coaches and Players that picked and played with them.

As usual sticking the player related stuff in the free agent thread.

More trolling. Awesome.

Not that I think it will do much good, but I think both BBB and KennyBanyeah are fine posters. Obviously, Kenny has been here a lot longer than BBB, but to date, I like the cut of BBB's jib. There's always a little bit of a get-to-know-you stage for the new guys and I gotta say I like the new additions to the board. Maybe you guys can just agree to disagree on this one, shake hands, and move on. After all, it's summer, we need to save some fireworks for October when the games start to count.

No worries dash.

I won't respond to his shitty posts anymore. Only the ones that actually contribute to the board.
