Ka'Deem Carey's highlight reel is pretty exciting.

I guess it's because he only ran a 4.67, even though he looks plenty quick on the football field. That on top of the fact RB's don't get drafted high anymore.

But yeah. I was wondering if I was missing something. When I saw these highlights, I literally got excited. I had no clue we drafted a RB like this. Definitely looks like a good compliment to Forte, and possibly a replacement in a few years if all goes well.

He almost rushed for 4,000 yards his last two years in college. The more I look into him, the more I like him.

Seriously, you guys got a really good pick. Most AZ fans are stunned that he went anything past the 2nd round. I would be only marginally concerned with his character. I'm not going to excuse the incident with his gf back in 2012, but I will say that it was almost 2 years ago, and I think he realizes now that he has a lot to lose. We heard that he ran a slow 40, and that's why he got picked so late. But make no mistake, he is an absolute beast. He has been a pure joy to watch for the last two years. Last year, he added a little Barry Sanders horizontal dimension to his game. Before that, he would just run people over. Obviously, I'm not saying that he is Barry Sanders, but it was something distinct that he added, and helped him extend his runs. But the kid is a monster. You are going to be happy you got him.

Thanks for the comments on Ka'Deem Carey, makes me feel a bit better about the pick, which for me seemed to come out of no where. I do not follow college football, but his numbers show great productivity. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does as a Bear.

I'm somewhat ambivalent about him. We needed a RB. I don't really care about his ex-girlfriend assault charge, that could have all kinds of reasons that have nothing to do with him being a bad guy. Sounds like he isn't very fast, and is a fumbling risk because he doesn't know how to drop, but he has good field vision.

The video? Give me a break, it's promotional. You guys!

this thing made me laugh...I mean....."all my life". Man I am tearing up about the struggle right now.

Do you remember the "Devin Hester is the greatest receiver ever" video that was making the rounds a couple years ago before it magically vanished from the internet? That was a classic mock of these sorts of stupid-ass self-promoting agent-made player videos. Geee, Devin, yeah, you are better than Jerry Rice. lol.

Yeah… but come on. You could never cut a Devin Hester highlight reel that made him look like an elite WR. Ever. Perhaps to the average moron on the street, but anyone who follows the game could tell he lacked what was necessary to reach that level.

The things Carey does in that film are flat out impressive. The cuts, the power, etc… You can't fake that. This isn't Jarron Gilbert jumping out of a pool. This is real game footage.

That on top of the numbers speak for themselves. A 1900 yard rushing season followed by an 1800 yard season.

At the least, he warrants something to look forward to in 2014. See what his role is.

Dude, you didn't see that video? It was hilarious. Yes, actually, you can...with proper editing and mixing...make Devin Hester look like a bomb ass NFL receiver. Wasn't my doing, I'm just a fan.

'40 speed' vs. 'football speed'

Don't know if this has been posted here or not but this article talks about Carey a lot about how some players compensate for being on the "slower" end of the spectrum in timed speed.

I like him what I see. He was a great pick up by the Bears.

Let's just see how he fares during camp.
