How come GT basketball has to suck this bad too?

GT has played a wicked ACC schedule so far.

Currently we are 13th out of the 15 schools in the ACC. Maybe our baseball team will be good?

Well, we won our first ACC tourney game....barely.

We'd have to go pretty deep in just to be invited into the NIT. *fingers crossed* I suppose.

I was a student from 1991 to 1996. We had some excellent basketball teams during that span. (And some wretched football teams. The Bill Lewis era was painful to watch). The home basketball games were the place to be.

Now....not a whole lot to look forward to.

The only thing ugafan remembers about the 90s is graham crackers and naptime. Cremins and Hewitt always had talented teams....just couldn't win with them

Under Cremins, GT made the NCAAs for nine straight years and won three ACC Tournament titles (and this was when the ACC was the number one conference in college basketball)

I'd say Cremins did just fine. However your point about Hewitt is extremely accurate. Let's not forget though that Tech has made two Final Fours in the past 25 years.

A year later and our basketball team sucks even worse, but at least the football team got a lot better.
