Why not Derek Fisher instead ?? he has 5 titles as a starting PG, Cole is just a back up scrub!

i cant believe this really needs to be explained. your laker goggles are really thick. derek fisher has 5. jordan has six. horry has 7. saying fisher is the GOAT off of rings... IS RETARDED. makes no sense.

Norris Cole has 2 titles in 2 years. Which means if he plays a 13 year career.. he will get 13.. and then by ring count be the GOAT.

It's a joke. but the fact you needed this explained.. and further more couldnt understand why derek fisher is counted out..:L

Jordan was THE greatest two-way player in NBA history (Offense + Defense combined), and he was the greatest Playoffs / Finals performer ever.

Russell wasn't.

1) Jordan
2) Russ / KAJ
3) Russ / KAJ

Jordan ahead of Russ? C'mon TDK.

Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest player the NBA has EVER seen.

He THOUGHT he was!

It's not as if he never had good teammates, so he can't use that excuse for having won fewer rings than William Felton Russell.

Wilt was a good player, but not as good as Russell.

Russell played on better TEAMS.

Wilt was so much better than Russell it's comical and DOMINATED him over their careers.

Russell is a glorified Ben Wallace.

You could use a cuckoo bird as your avatar if you really believe that last.

In the regular season, yes... but when you factor in the Playoffs (you know, when it matters most) Wilt's stock falls considerably, as his PPG average plummets nearly 8-PPG vs. his regular season average.

By contrast Russ' PPG average actually increases (RS vs. Playoffs).

I would take the time to explain it, but I do not cast pearls before swine. Research on your own how Russell revolutionized the game. There are several sources.

Pay no mind to XerO... he has been repeatedly exposed (on other boards) as having the BB IQ of a grapefruit.

and yet Wilt's numbers STILL blow Russell's out of the water.

why?

because he was a WAY better player.

Russ Playoffs: 16.2 / 24.9 / 4.7
Wilt Playoffs: 22.5 / 24.5 / 4.2

The facts say you're wrong...

i see you conveniently left out Russell's pathetic .430 FG% which is not surprising, while Wilt was an efficient .522 from the field.

that is a HUGE difference.

Russell was nowhere NEAR the player Wilt was.

I think that's his point and it's a good one. I'd take Ben Wallace in his prime over Bill Russell all damn day.

Leaving him laughably inferior to Wilt.

Chamberlain probably scored less against Russell than against other centers.

Wilt was going to score against anyone, but how many opportunities he take away from his teammates?

Which means he rocked Russell's world just like he did everyone else.

Facts is facts. We can debate this all day long but Wilt dominated Russell, which he fully admitted. The world knew it.

2013 KG > Bill Russell
