I'm just curious what is the best source of checking on recruits considering playing for the Huskers.
I'm certainly not a big fan of the stars thing but would like to become a bit more in tune to recruits interested in the Huskers.

Any suggestions from the vets would be greatly appreciated.

All reports vary from place to place. I always look at **** because I like their little ****150 thing. I also check scout.com and rivals.com.

In your opinion, which of those do you find reflect the true athletic ability of the recruit?

I use scout.com primarily and some rivals.com

You'll find one might have a player a 4 star where the other might have him a three star.
I don't think there's much difference between a 3 and a 4. Coaching will make a 3 into a 4 etc..That piece of shit Callahan was good at making 4 stars into 2 stars.

Also I've noticed that a player being offered by an Florida, USC, ND etc.. gives them some extra clout but just because they're rated a 4 star doesn't mean they'll fit into Nebraska's system.

In regards to "team rankings" not only are they rated by how many shiny stars they get, they are also rated according to how the services "think" a team is filling their needs.
Like they know what Bo is looking for in a player. lol

Rivals is pretty good. The problem is that there are too many athletes out there and not enough scouts, so there isn't going to be a perfect ranking system, but the site usually has good updates on potential recruits/targets. You can usually watch quite a bit of film on youtube if you don't want to join a pay site, and most of the info usually trickles down the message boards anyway. I haven't been there for awhile, but huskerpedia's board was pretty good too. There were some people who were more than happy to share info on the E$PN board, but it usually ruined by a couple fags running amock bashing recruiting and people who enjoy it.

I also like to look at what schools have offered to the recruit. Sometimes youll look at a recruit that it says is considering nebraska then look and he'll only have offers from southern rhode island school for the blind and deaf. But if he has offers from like ND, USC, FLA, FSU, etc. etc. then you know theres real talent there. I like the E$PN prospect pages personally. It shows everyone considering a year in advance and committed already. And it seems like its updated more often to school in contention for the player.

BTW...youtube works very well too lol. You can just asses your own star rating that way.

Per Austin Hill

WR, 6-3, 200, 4.5, CORONA (ROOSEVELT), CALIFORNIA

Recently commited to Arizona.

“The Nebraska visit was very exciting. They (NU Coaches) liked my size and athletic ability but Nebraska has backed off a lot actually. I haven’t got a call or anything since I went up there for a visit (OU game).” Hill said

“I haven’t eliminated Nebraska but they are lower down there. I haven’t had a chance to talk to them. Nebraska coaches use to call me but I haven’t heard from them since the Oklahoma game. Northwestern and Arizona are recruiting me the hardest now.” Hill said

Looks to me like Nebraska lost interest.

how the hell do you have 783? I thought this site was halfway new

When the dude had over 10,000 posts on the E$PN board I think it's safe to assume he has a lot to say. Either that or nothing else to do. Your guess is as good as mine.

Id agree with that. Im excited to see him. His youtube highlights are sick. I heard he was rated low because he got hurt. Lets hope he stays healthy.

Just looked Quincy Enunwa up on utube and he just looks like he needs to hit the weight room a little and put some muscle on those legs, will make him quicker. I think he could be a good one for us.
