Sounds like Wyatt Teller is officially the starter at left guard. Wang to center.....Farris to the bench.

Surprised it took this long. They've been shuffling around for the last few games and we always seem to do better when Teller is in.

Love that he wants to go back but I agree with 46, go pro. He was looking like a late 1st likely 2nd round pick before the injury

Yeah, Im with you guys. If he gets a 3rd or higher grade, he should probably go.

But my selfish side hopes he will be back.

He is one of my all time favorites at Virginia Tech up there with X, Tyrod, DE, Flowers and the Fullers. Great player, awesome kid, awesome Virginia Tech representative. I have a feeling he and Dadi will pay huge dividends for years to come and become staples on our sideline as well.

I think if Maddy was a top 3 round prospect, then he would have left a year ago. And his draft stock has certainly only dropped since. I think coming back is probably his best option....just pray he doesn't get injured again. Also gives him the opportunity to finish things with Dadi.

VT Defense should be even better next year....starting D-line back and a healthy Facyson back.

It also sounds like Motuapuaka (or however it is spelled) will be getting valuable reps over the next couple of games (at least). Chuck Clark could be a very good safety next year too.

He should. He's a beast. I went to the Coach Cav recruiting talk and he showed a video of him that was amazing it was almost funny... I can't remeber the exactly how it went down, but he forced a fumble or a TO and was on the ground finishing the tackle when one of his teammates picked up the ball and started the other way. Andrew got up and ran past everyone to make like three or four different blocks for his teammate while he meandered his way into the endzone. He looked like he was sped up and everyone else was in slow motion. He sped up AND running over people.

If he comes back, you can basically look at it like getting a 5 star monster JUCO player in this recruiting class because it would have been completely unexpected for 2015.

We also may not have a player drafted (Gibson, Jarrett, Bonner outside shots)

He's looking at 4-6 month recovery from the 2nd surgery. No chance he goes pro when he'll be rehabbing during the combine & pro days.

Could have made a topic but it fits here:

Maddy, Cline, Facyson, Frye and Pfaff were all granted medical waivers.

French over at TKP is reporting that Ricky Walker, Tim Settle, Houshun Gaines, Dee Fullwood, and Carson Lydon will all redshirt this year.

Sort of surprised to see Walker on there. He played pretty well last year but its probably the right call given so much depth at DT.

Haven't heard much about Ricky this summer (good or bad). Don't recall him having any type of injuries?

Word is Sobczak has been killing it this summer as well, at times looking unstoppable. Can't wait to see that wrecking ball on the field. Many "in the know" thinks he should get some significant reps this year. That is saying something when Nigel and Woody are in the 2 deep.

If I recall, Ricky didn't take a shirt last year and Steve did. I am thinking with the embarrasment of riches we have at DL right now, they are putting some reserves (Settle, Walker) back for the future. VT should have a stellar group of DTs for years to come. I am just hoping that the lights come on for Mihota, Dooley and some of the other DEs. We are not so deep there after this year (or this year for that matter).

Durkin to H-Back/Tight End.

Lawson's shirt will be burned.

We are down to two scholarship quarterbacks, one of which (Motley) is injury prone. This could get weird.

That confirmed? Seems reckless to move Durkin right now.
